Masterpass Ekurhuleni Promotion Terms & Conditions :
A. Promotion Period :
** This Promotion (“Promotion”) will run from 26 September 2016 to 6 November 2016 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).

B. Eligibility :
1. Subject to these Terms, ONLY the following categories of persons who are residents of South Africa are eligible to participate in this Promotion (collectively, “Eligible Persons” and each, an “Eligible Person”)
1.1. An existing MasterCard cardholder who is also a MasterPass wallet (“Wallet”) holder; or
1.2. An existing MasterCard cardholder who downloads the Wallet during the Promotion Period; and
1.3. A person who has an Ekurhuleni municipal account which is not in arrears.
2. The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in this Promotion :
2.1. permanent and/or contract employees, representatives, partners, debtors, consultants and/or agents (including advertising agents and contestant management agents) of MasterCard (including its subsidiaries and related companies), including their respective immediate family members, meaning their parents, spouses, children and / or siblings;
2.2. holder(s) of a Wallet who is / are in default of any facilities granted by their issuing financial institution and/or MasterCard at any time during the Promotion Period, subject to MasterCard’s sole discretion; and/or
2.3. any holder of a Wallet who has committed or suspected to have committed any fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to his/her Wallet, associated account or any facility of service granted by their issuing financial institution and/or MasterCard as determined by Mastercard in its sole discretion
3. For the purpose of these Terms, the use of the Wallet is “successfully approved” only if the download of the Wallet and transaction takes place during the Promotion Period. For the purposes of clarity, a conditional approval is not a “successfully approved” application.
C. How to Participate :
1. In order to participate in the Promotion, an Eligible Person (“Participant”) must successfully complete a Transaction as set out below (“Transaction”)
1.1 If they do not already have the Wallet, a person must download the Wallet onto any device during the Promotion Period;
1.2 Such person needs to proceed to the e-Siyakhokha website (.e-siyakhokha.co.za/) , the city of Ekurhuleni’s website; and
1.3 Such person needs to successfully pay their Ekurhuleni municipal bill with the Wallet.
2. Upon the successful completion of the Transaction, a Participant will be automatically entered into the Promotion for the chance to win a Prize, as set out below. For the purposes of clarity, every successful Transaction secures a Participant one entry into the Promotion.
3. For the avoidance of doubt, all entries submitted after the Promotion Period will not be considered.
D. Winners and Prizes :
1. MasterCard will select winner(s) (“Winner(s)”) by conducting automated algorithmic draws, whereby Winner(s) will be selected at random from the total pool of valid entries by Participants.
2. A total of thirty (30) prizes of R10 000 cash will be given away during the Promotion Period. Five (5) prizes of R10 000 will be awarded each week during the Promotion Period Prizes, to be paid into the MasterCard Card used to enter, will be drawn each week in accordance with clause D1, during the Promotion period.
Draw dates: 04, 11, 18 and 25 October and 08 November 2016.
3. MasterCard will contact the Winner(s) of the Promotion and make suitable arrangements for all Prize redemption. The Winner(s) will be notified within a two (2) week period from the time of each draw during office hours. If contact is not made after 5 attempts during the 2 week period, the particular Winner will be disqualified and a new Winner will be selected. The old Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize.
