Assistant Director – Training and Skills Development :

Requirements :
** A Senior Certificate plus a relevant three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Social Science/Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification on NQF level 6 plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of capacity development/training and development.

** Knowledge of Public Service Act and its Regulations, Skills Development Act & Skill Development Levies Act and SAQA Act.

** Good facilitation and organising skills.
** Being a certified Compulsory Induction Programme Facilitator will be an added advantage.
** Budgeting and financial management skills
** Ability to work under pressure.

Duties :
** The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying training needs and capacity development needs for employees in the Office; develop and implement Workplace Skills Plan (WSP); development of Annual Training Reports (ART) and Quarterly Monitoring Reports (QMR), and submit to the relevant SETA, DPSA and Economic Development.
** Ensure the implementation of Learnership and Internship programmes,
** Facilitate the design and development of skills development and capacity development programmes.

** Implement in-house training programme, organise and facilitate training workshops for employees including in-house induction and Compulsory Induction Programme.
** Identify accredited training service providers and maintain a service provider database.
** Use best practice methods to evaluate the impact the impact of training.

** Report on the evaluation of training programmes and make necessary recommendations to improve training.
** Liaise with other organisations and institutions involved in capacity development programmes on new developments and trends pertaining to capacity development.
** Compile monthly and quarterly reports.
