You NEED the following to register :
** Your official ID book (if you are not a citizen of South Africa, you will need your passport)
** A unique email address
** City and site where you want to write

** NBT requirements from the institutions where you plan to apply
** Date when you want to write (allow 4 weeks for the institution(s) to which you have applied to receive your results.
** You can access your results on our website after 5 weeks.)
** Pen and paper to record your username and EasyPay number

Take note of the following :
** The NBT Project does not determine which test you must write nor the deadline for submitting results.
** Most institutions in South Africa post their requirements on their website and in their prospectus.

The username and EasyPay number assigned to you during registration is used to :
** Complete the registration process if you did not finish
** Correct personal information
** Request change to test date or site
** Verify payment so that your results may be released

Test Fees :
AQL : R 80
AQL and MAT : R 160
Re-mark : R 250

FAQ :
How Do I Register To Write?
You need to register on the internet :
1. Access the NBT website :
** .nbt.ac.za, click on “Book a Test” and then follow the prompts. You can also register via the internet on your cell phone.

2. A letter confi rming your registration and containing an EasyPay barcode will be available for you to download and print after you click on “submit”. You must take your registration letter to an EasyPay Paypoint to pay the testing fees.

You may also pay on the EasyPay website :
** .easypay.co.za. It is not necessary to bring these to the test site, but you should print out and keep copies.
** Results are released only for paid tests. Registration is date and site specifi c.
** If you miss your scheduled writing session, or wish to write a second time, you must register and pay again.

What Does It Cost To Write?
The fees for the 2017 Admission cycle are :
** AQL only – R80
** AQL and MAT – R160

Did You Know :
** If there is no NBT test site near to where you live, you can send us an email or phone us and we’ll try to arrange a special site for your test.

What Are The National Benchmark Tests?
** The National Benchmark Tests (NBT) measure your academic readiness for University.

Which Tests Must I Write?
** The faculty where you apply will determine which test/s you must write and the deadlines for receiving your results.
