Standard Bank seems to be the worst bank I have ever banked with. The so-called fraud team are holding on to my money that came from the United Kingdom for the past 5 days without any appropriate communication. The money was worked for, so Standard bank have no right to hold on to it. The money was only transferred to South Africa because we are in South Africa doing charity work. South Africa is not paying us any money but rather we are put our money that we worked for in the UK into the South African economy so it is an utter nonsense to have them hang on to money that does not belong to them. what sort of investigation is being done that has not been completed for about 5days now. All they need to do is to contact the Bank in UK where the money came from and all will be clarified. This is really an awful bank. Bills are being affected because of the delay of that money.
Kloof near Durban had a fully-fledged Standard Bank branch, This was sold and thew bank moved to a smaller branch in a mall. This was closed a few months ago and the bank moved into what can only be termed a cubicle. Not for the first time, I was forced yesterday to join a queue in the corridor as you have covid restrictions. There were four people ahead of me and others joined the queue behind. I stood for 40 minutes and there was no movement whatsoever. Nobody came out to enquire about our business or update us on what was happening inside. Surely there should be a desk dealing with 5-minute viaits like card collection even if space is at a premium and there is probably no room for another staff member whom you wont employ to cut costs. Standard’s attitude shows a complete disrespect for customers’ valuable time or dignity. It is little wonder there is a persistent call to nationalise banks, a call which I am beginning to support.

I want to ask about having an account with passport may I register please
I have repeatedly requested Standard bank send me a statement indicating costs after the proceeds of the sale of my house was paid. There seems to be a large difference between the total amount owed and the total amount taken by Standard bank even though the bank was notified of the sale.
The bank sent a letter stating the transaction has been concluded, but no statement and no feedback.

I was in the bank yesterday where I did a transfer of funds. The agent called later to say it did not go through…He was going to call me today.. I am still waiting.. Can you please give me an update.
Kind Regards
At 9.30am this morning (31/7/2021), I returned to my vehicle parked just up from the Groenkloof Standard Bank autobank to find I was blocked in by an armoured car. Realising that the autobank was being attended to, I waited until the armed guards returned and then asked if they could reverse a little. They rudely refused, jeering and saying they were sure I could get out, and headed off into the Spar. I then politely asked the driver to reverse just a few metres and he also curtly refused and closed his little brass porthole in my face. The vehicle’s registration was 2Y 27 YB. This probably sounds really minor, but I was not only inconvenienced but quite badly shaken by the encounter. I am over 60 and was alone. To be treated with such arrogant contempt by a team of large armed men was not pleasant and I would be grateful if the matter could be brought to the attention of their manager.
