How To Do FNB CIPC Name Reservation?

Two options are available when registering a company: You can reserve a name for your company when you register or you can register your company without name reservation – FNB CIPC will auto generate a name based on the registration number of the company.

The process, including name reservation, should be completed in 10 working days after payment and necessary documents are received. No documents are needed. In the unlikely event that one or more director’s ID documents are not available, we will contact you.

Registration Fee For FNB Company Registration

Register your company at a once off fee of R125.Should you choose to reserve your company name, there will be an extra R50 charged.A valid credit or debit card is required to make the payment.

Additional Generic Procedure

There are two ways to register for an FNB CIPC company:

Online:  You can register your company online through the FNB Business Portal. To do this, you will need to create an account and provide the following information:
1) Your company name
2) Your company type
3) Your company’s physical address
4) Your company’s contact information
5) Your personal information (as the company’s director)
6) Your ID number
7) Your passport number (if you are not a South African citizen)
8) Your marriage certificate (if you are married)
9) The names and ID numbers of your other directors

In person: You can also register your company in person at any FNB branch. To do this, you will need to bring the following documents:
1) Your company’s Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI)
2) Your company’s Articles of Association (AA)
3) Your company’s certified copy of its registration certificate from CIPC
4) Your personal ID document
5) The ID documents of your other directors

Once you have registered your company, you will need to open a business account with FNB. You can do this online or in person at any FNB branch.

1) You will need to pay a registration fee of R195.
2) The processing time for online registrations is typically 24 hours.
3) The processing time for in-person registrations is typically 5 working days.
