How it Works :
** Entries are uploaded onto the Q-Photo Competition website .qphotocompetition.co.za
** Entries require a short explanation on why the image is a “Golden Moment”.
** There is no limit to the amount of entries per person.
** Winners from each of the 11 rounds are automatically entered into the Grand Finale.

** Winners are decided by the amount of votes from the public and the judges.
** Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
** Entries are screened and Q-Photo reserves the right to disallow entries it deems inappropriate or offensive.

** Nikon Vouchers are redeemable from Outdoorphoto only, on Nikon products. The printed voucher must be presented to claim discount.
** Outdoorphoto’s Best Picture: The Outdoorphoto team will identify their favourite picture from the entire selection of images entered throughout the duration of the photo competition.

Open Window Courses details :
** Adobe Photoshop Post Production
** This short course specialises in Adobe Photoshop specifically for photographic editing.
** It introducing the student to basic non-destructive post-production skills using the Adobe Photoshop CC interface.

** Core components pertaining to the image editing workflow include managing images in Adobe Bridge CC, colour correction, tone mapping, contrast control, corrective editing, image sharpening and file output.

Camera Foundation :
** This short course introduces the student to the terminologies and functionality of the 35mm digital single-lens reflex camera from basic to advanced camera settings, and will focus on aspects such as exposure control, white balance and the colour temperature of various light sources.

** Emphasis is also placed on the use of light meters and the correct interpretation of the light meter reading in order to refine exposure control.

** Courses are 6 weeks in duration, starting early 2017 with classes taking place once a week.
