Guaranteed Getaway Promotion :

** The name of the Promotion is “Guaranteed Getaway”.
** The Promotion commences 1 July 2016 and ends 31 December 2016.

Promotion :
** In order to enter the Defy Promotion, consumers must purchase a Defy automatic washing machine (front or top loader) at any participating outlet during the promotional period.
** Upon purchasing a Defy washing machine (front or top loader), the customer will automatically qualify for a reward and will be issued with a voucher in-store by the Defy Sales person.

** The voucher will contain a unique code, which will be required when the customer goes onto the USSD line to redeem.
** The customer must dial *120*111213# and follow the prompts to enter.

** The cost of the USSD line is R0.60 per 60 seconds. Incorrect and/or incomplete entries will be billed.
** Only one reward per purchase is allowed.
** Rewards must be claimed within six (6) months of activation, after which time the reward will automatically lapse and no further correspondence will be entered into.

Reward :
** The purchase of a Defy washing machine (front or top loader) qualifies the consumer to receive 3 year guarantee of top and front loaders.
** Customer need to retain their invoice to redeem the guarantee.
** The first 2 000 customers will get 2 months OMO vouchers to the value of R 150.00

And customers will also win a mid-week break for up to 4 people within South Africa :
** The mid-week break is a four (4) night’s holiday in a self-catering accommodation unit in a selection of destinations, subject to the chosen destination and strictly subject to availability.
** Only available on off-peak and non-weekend dates.
** TLC Marketing Worldwide will email a booking form to the qualifying consumer to be completed and emailed to TLC Marketing Worldwide by 16 January 2017.

** TLC Marketing Worldwide will then proceed to make the booking with their holiday partner and revert with availability.
** Upon completion of the booking, an email confirmation will be sent to the customer detailing their booking details.
** This document must be presented when checking into the resort.

** TLC Marketing Worldwide, the Promoter and its authorised agents cannot accept any liability for any failure to present proof of reservation at the resort by the customer when checking in, which may result in refusal to accept the reservation.

** The accommodation provided is fully furnished and equipped.

** The customer will be informed of any other requirements and costs prior to confirming their booking.
** Resorts often have on-site facilities, although there is no guarantee these will be available all year round.

** All additional costs incurred during the stay such as meals, telephone calls, television/films and mini bar bills must be paid on departure. On arrival, the customer’s credit card details will be taken by the venue.

** All costs incurred during the stay will be charged to this credit card when they check out, excluding costs covered by TLC Marketing Worldwide.
** All travel must be completed by 31 July 2017 failing which the Reward will be forfeited and the Participant shall not have any claim against the Promoters as a result thereof.

** Rewards cannot be redeemed for cash in part or whole, and are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
** Rewards cannot be exchanged for an alternative Reward and TLC’s decision is final; no negotiations will be entered into.

** TLC reserves the right to replace the offer with one of equal or greater value.
** The Reward does not include travel to or from the resort, nor any additional expenses incurred before, during, or after the mid-week break.
** All such expenses are the responsibility of the customer.

Some Important Information From Comments

1. I bought a washing machine in December. We did everything that, we were asked to do including sending an email with our preferred dates. We sent the first email and there was no response. I phoned them and I was told to complete a new booking form and send the email again, which I did. Unfortunately, there was no response again, not even to acknowledge my email, nothing. I never heard from them until now. I do not think, this is a guaranteed getaway we were just fooled and that ruined our plans for the festive.

2. I have the same problem as other customers. I got this guaranteed getaway when I bought my top loader washing machine. I booked and I was told but I am still waiting from December up to now March. What annoys me is the fact that, they don’t answer their phones it is just the machine. Please help me.

3. I also purchased a top loader defy in August and sent all the requirements for the getaway promotion. I have been calling the consultant but to date nothing has happened. I am so frustrated because today was the second date I had chosen, the first passed as well now. I am left with a date for March.

    I have the same problem as other customers I got this guaranteed getaway when I bought my top loader washing machine I booked and I was told but I’m still waiting from December 2016 up to now 1st March 2017. What annoys me is the fact that they don’t answer their phones it is just the machine. Please help me.

    I have been trying since 7 November 2016 to get feedback regarding the Guaranteed Getaway. You always get the same auto reply from the Getaway Customer Service Team that you will get feedback within 5 – 10 working days. On 8 February the TLC Customer care responded-Awaiting feedback from the Service Providers. On 21 Feb I phoned Defy and they gave me a number 031-312 7519 to phone. Guess what! No answer. Are there some clients out there that benefited from this promotion and if so, how did we miss the bus.

    Last year October, my daughter wanted to buy a new washing machine and was convinced by the sales consultant to buy DEFY as it comes with a guaranteed getaway for 4 people! We followed all the prompts and received confirmation from TLC Marketing to select a holiday resort from the list. Since then we have been sending emails/phoning them, and still no confirmed booking!!! IF you do get through to a consultant, they promise to get back to you, but THEY DO NOT. We are still waiting!! I am totally disgusted, and I think that the public should be aware of false advertising. I will NEVER buy a DEFY product again!

    I purchased a Defy Front loader in July 2016 and was told that I had been given accommodation for 4 (2 adults, 2 children) at Mount Ananzi for the period 20th to 24th March 2017. Bruce from Defy contacted me and said they were having trouble with the company doing the promotion and had made other arrangements, but that everything would be sorted out. That was in November and I am still waiting for a response. When will I come to know?
