Why get Family Protect funeral cover?
TymeBank has joined up with Hollard so you can get an easy and affordable funeral policy that gives your family a much-needed pay-out when they’re at their most vulnerable.
All you need is a TymeBank account to get cover for yourself. You then have the option to add
** Your spouse
** Up to 5 of your children (at 50%? up to R20 000 per child)
** Up to 2 of your parents
The Family Protect funeral policy also comes with a lot of extras like getting help with paying for groceries for 3 months, a death benefit paid out for 3 months, getting 10% of your premiums back every 6 months and a R250 airtime voucher.

4 Funeral plans to choose from
Individual Funeral Cover :
** Main insured person
** Cover from 10 000 up to ?50 000 and additional benefits paid out on death?
** Cover of R5 000 is included for a stillborn baby who is born to the main insured person.?
** Age from 18 to 79 eligible?
** Premiums payable for life
Partner Funeral Cover :
** Main insured person’s partner
** Can only be added (at an additional premium) if the Individual Funeral Benefit has been taken out?
** Cover amount is set equal to the Individual cover amount?
** Age from 18 to 79 eligible?
** Cover for the partner ceases when the policy ceases
Children Funeral Cover :
** Free cover for a maximum 5 children
** Cover amount is equal to 50% of the Individual Funeral Cover amount, subject to a maximum of R20 000?
** Entry age of 0 to 20 years
** Cover ceases on the earlier of the policy ceasing or on the 1st month after their 24th birthday.
Parents Funeral Cover :
** Main insured person’s parent(s)
** Can only be added (at an additional premium) if the Individual Funeral Benefit has been taken out?
** Cover Amount is set equal to the Individual Funeral Cover Amount, subject to a maximum of R20 000 at an additional premium per parent?
** Age from 18 to 79 eligible
** Cover for parents ceases when the policy ceases
Extra Benefits
Grocery Benefit :
** Monthly benefit for 3 months in the event of the death of the main policyholder only.
** Monthly amount payable is equal to the average spend at PnP across all of the main insured’s TymeBank cards over the 3 calendar months prior to the death of the main insured .
** Limits are a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 10% of the Individual Funeral benefit amount.
Monthly Assistant Benefit :
** Monthly benefit for 3 months in the event of the death of the main policyholder only.
** Monthly amount payable is equal to the average deposits made over all of the main insured’s TymeBank accounts over the 3 calendar months prior to the death of the main insured.
** Limits are a minimum of 10% and a maximum of 20% of the Individual Funeral benefit amount.
Airtime Benefit :
** Get a R250 airtime voucher on the notification of every valid death claim*
