Applicants are invited to apply for postgraduate (Masters and Doctoral) bursaries with Sasol Agriculture Trust to further their studies within the agricultural industry. Eligibility

The basic requirements for application of a bursary with Sasol Agriculture Trust are:
** Applicants must be South African citizens.
** Applicants must be admitted to study full time with the institution of their choice.
** Sasol Agriculture Trust bursaries are only awarded to Masters and Doctoral studies.
** The field of study must be relevant to the South African agricultural industry.

Bursaries Amount

Masters by Dissertation:
** Bursaries totaling R99 750,00 per annum, for two years, in respect of M.Sc Applicants.
** Bursaries will only be paid out according to the submitted and approved progress reports by both the student and their supervisor.

Doctoral Research:
** Bursaries totaling R131 250,00 per annum, for three years, in respect of PhD Applicants.
** Bursaries will only be paid out according to the submitted and approved progress reports by both the student and their supervisor.

Documents Required For Sasol Agriculture Trust Postgraduate Bursaries

Following documents are required to apply for Sasol Agriculture Trust Postgraduate (Masters and Doctoral) Bursaries.

Upon application, the Trust requires:
a) A completed application form,
b) A certified copy of a South African identity document/passport,
c) Updated curriculum vitae,
d) The latest academic transcript/record on an official letterhead,
e) Proof of registration and a fee statement (if available).

Note:
** A formal bursary agreement is to be concluded with Sasol Agriculture Trust should a bursary be awarded.
** A supervisor for the study programme must be designated by the University where the study will be undertaken and must be approved by Sasol Agriculture Trust.
** It is the responsibility of the Student to inform the Supervisor that he/she will be required to register with the particular Bursary Scheme on our website. The URL address thereof can be provided to the supervisor either by the student or upon request.
** Applicants will be expected to work in the South African agricultural industry for the same period for which a bursary was awarded.
** Successful applicants may not be in receipt of alternative funding from alternate sources.
** The proposal for the dissertation/thesis must be approved by Sasol Agriculture Trust before commencement with the studies.

What is the Closing Date of Sasol Agriculture Trust Postgraduate Bursaries?

The closing date for Sasol Agriculture Trust postgraduate (Masters and Doctoral) bursaries application submissions is 30 September of every year.

The Sasol Agriculture Trust offers postgraduate bursaries to South African citizens who are studying or intend to study full-time towards a Masters or Doctoral qualification relevant to the South African agricultural industry.

** Have completed Matric.
** Be admitted to study full-time with a recognised and accredited tertiary institution.
** Be studying or intending to study towards a Masters or Doctoral qualification relevant to the South African agricultural industry.
** Not be in receipt of any other funding or bursary awards (unless agreed to by the Trust).
** Intend on conducting a dissertation/thesis on a topic that has been approved by the Trust.

2. Complete the application form and submit it to the Sasol Agriculture Trust office.
3. Attach the following documents to your application form:
