To Retrieve CPUT Forgotten Student Number, follow the below steps

Step-1 : Go to the link https://www.cput.ac.za/study/forgotten-student-number
Step-2 : Enter your ID / Passport / Asylum number (as on your application form)
Step-3 : Enter your Student Number (leave empty if you do not know what it is)
Step-4 : Enter One of your First Names
Step-5 : Click on the button “Get My Application Status”

CPUT Student Representative Council (SRC)

The CPUT student body is represented on the various decision making structures at the university by a Central Student Representative Council (CSRC) and four Local Student Representative Councils. Local Representative Councils are situated on the Bellville, Cape Town, Mowbray and Wellington Campuses.

The various Student Representative councils at the CPUT fall under Student Governance. In addition to the SRC, Student Governance activities include meeting skills, Leadership training for executive members of student clubs and societies as well as SRC training.

What does the SRC stand for?
Student Representative Council.

Who elects the SRC?
Any Registered CPUT student (Part-time, Full-time and students on short courses).

Why do we need an SRC?
To look after student needs and interests and to represent students on various University structures such as or including the University Council and Senate.

Who funds the SRC?
You, the student; that is why you have to take ownership and ensure that your money is spent wisely.

How do you stand for the SRC?
** You have to be a student for at least one academic year.
** You have to have an average of 65% to stand for the SRC.
** You may have no prior convictions internally against you (i.e. not been found guilty of transgressing the institutional rules, code of conduct, be they academic, non-academic or residence rules)
** You may have no prior convictions externally against you.

Why should you vote?
To choose responsible, accountable and well-respected student leaders that will represent ALL CPUT students.

Why get involved?
Because it is your money, your university and your responsibility! Take responsibility and ensure responsible, accountable, transparent and respected leadership on all our campuses
