How To Retrieve WSU Student Number?

Forgot your Student Number? Follow the below steps to retrieve your Walter Sisulu University (WSU) Student Number

SDSS provides services to students through five units in each of the campuses:
** Residences Unit
** Sport and Recreation Unit
** Student Health Unit
** Student Counselling Unit
** Student Governance, Development and Culture Unit.

Student Accommodation:
** At student residences, we believe in family.
** Our main objective is to provide a quality living and learning environment to our students and the stakeholders of the University.
** The Student Residence family assists you whenever you experience problems, no matter how big or small.
** Your problem is our problem.
** Over the years, our campus residences have accommodated a number of residential students who today are leaders in the industry, public and private sectors.
** It is expected of residence students to use more than just a class/lecture room: numerous activities are available for our residence students to participate in.
** Our philosophy as the Student Residence Department is to “contribute to the holistic development of a student.
** Crime is very high in our society and the University is doing its best to protect residence students.

Additional Simplified Procedure

There are two ways to retrieve your lost Walter Sisulu University (WSU) student number:
1. Check your student admission letter. Your student number is usually listed on your student admission letter. If you have lost your student admission letter, you can contact the WSU Admissions Office to request a copy.

2. Use the WSU Student Online Services Portal. You can also retrieve your student number using the WSU Student Online Services Portal.

To do this, follow these steps:
1. Go to the WSU Student Online Services Portal: https://www.wsu.ac.za/index.php/student-online-services-portal-wsu.
2. Click on the “Forgot Student Number” link.
3. Enter your surname, initials, and date of birth.
4. Click on the “Submit” button.
5. Your student number will be displayed on the screen.

If you are still unable to retrieve your student number, you can contact the WSU Student Affairs Office at (+27) 047-50115270 / 047-502-2847. They will be able to help you get your student number.

Here are the steps on how to contact WSU:
1. Go to the WSU Contact Us page: https://www.wsu.ac.za/index.php/contacts-wsu.
2. Select the “Student Affairs” department from the list of departments.
3. Enter your contact details and a brief message about your query.
4. Click on the “Send” button.

A WSU representative will contact you shortly to answer your query.
