What is FlySafair Unaccompanied Minors Booking?
Our Unaccompanied Minors service ensures that your child receives the very best care from when you check-in your child, to the final arrival. When your child has to travel alone, booking a flight with FlySafair; is the next best thing to being there yourself. This service costs an additional R750. Our Unaccompanied Minors service is available for children aged 5 to 11 who are flying alone. Please note that this service is not available within 48 hours prior to departure.

How To Request An Unaccompanied Minors Booking?
The Booking Process:
Step 1: Submit the unaccompanied minor request form on this page
Step 2: Our friendly call centre staff will contact you to do a verification process and confirm all the details.
Step 3: Once the verification process is complete we can secure your booking.
Step 4: Once the payment is complete; you will receive a confirmation with all the flight details.
The day of travel:
Step 1: Arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure and proceed to the check-in counters.
Step 2: Once checked-in, you will be asked to fill in your details and sign a consent form.
Step 3: Your child will stay with a specialist member of our team throughout the airport journey helping them through security before being met by our friendly cabin crew at the aircraft door.
Step 4: Upon arrival, a specialist member of our team will be at the aircraft door to welcome them to their destination and to help them through the airport, before taking them to their parent or guardian.

If you have an unaccompanied minor, please be at the airport 2 hours before departure with the correct forms of Identification
What is the Fare For An Unaccompanied Minor?
Unaccompanied minors must travel on an adult fare. Children over the age of 12 can travel alone, and they fly on an adult fare. If you’d like to use our unaccompanied minors service for children aged 5 to 11, the fee is R750 for each leg of the journey.
