Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this position is to manage site Plant and maintenance teams and processes to meet site requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Suitable candidates will need to have the following minimum qualification and relevant experience:

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements / Experience:
** National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related); Related Trade Certificate
** 8 – 12 years’ experience as an Asset Manager / Plant Manager or related role
** Must have experience in a mining environment

Responsibilities:
** Align the Plant Strategy with the organisational strategy, goals and objectives.
** Develop, manage, and maintain plant policies and procedures.
** Comply with requirements of the Plant Quality Management System.
** Effective Management of Plant team towards achieving project objectives.
** Identify, source, and allocate plant resources for projects. Conduct analysis on fleet performance and report findings on a regular basis.
** Prepare and manage the budget of the Plant Business Unit and report on variances from the budget and the reasons for those variances.
** Report on findings and status of plant asset analysis and trends monthly and identify important trends.
** Conduct regular reviews and updates of maintenance management, repair processes and procedure to ensure continuous business improvement and adherence to best practice and OEM requirements.
** Arrange logistics to relocate plant to sites and ensure the relevant OEMs provide acceptable after sales service during the life of all equipment.
** Consult with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation plans to rectify any identified deviations timeously
** Review systems and procedures regularly and ensure that asset and functional failures are recorded with correct data.
** Ensure adherence to corporate governance and ethics guidelines.
** Implement and Manage AMT software on dynamic lifecycle costing.
** Train, mentor, and coach plant personnel on maintenance management processes.
** Liaise with Estimating Department to determine tender requirements.
** Maintain positive client relationships and handle customer questions or complaints.
