FAQ On Fines SA

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ On Fines SA

How come our services are free?
We pay traffic fines in bulk to over 250 Municipalities nationwide, so the more we pay, you save and everyone benefits. It’s a win win.

What is a NAG fine?
A non-admission of guilt fine is the most nasty and dangerous traffic fine that can be issued as you were speeding over 30kms over the speed limit. Fines SA does not provide assistance with NAG fines. As you may be obliged to appear in court to determine the amount of a NAG fine, we suggest that you seek advice from an attorney.

Can I get a national report on all my fines?
Yes, we connect to all service providers as well as the RTIA (Road Traffic Infringement Agency) so we can give you the most comprehensive report available in SA today. Beware of many websites who do not state this as you may then think that you have no fines and get a nasty surprise one day as they may not pick up all your outstanding fines!

What is an Admin Block against my name?
If you have outstanding traffic fines and or warrants then you may be blocked on the eNaTIS system from renewing your car or driver’s license. We suggest that you check your fines first and pay them before you try to renew these licenses.

Does Fines SA remind me of any new fines?
Yes, once you have joined the Fines SA platform by signing up on finesSA.co.za then we will get access to your outstanding fines immediately. You will then receive a monthly statement if any new fines have been allocated to you.

What happens if I don’t pay a fine?
If you do not represent yourself on the court date, then a warrant for your arrest will be issued and you will be charged with being in contempt of court. This may lead to imprisonment if you are stopped at a road block

Can Fines SA settle my fines if I have a warrant out for my arrest?
YES, at any time fines can be settled but they will incur contempt of court charges.

Can your service look after my entire family and business?
YES, please register each person / business independently if the vehicle/s are in a different name.

Will you also alert us about AARTO fines and demerit points?
YES, we are at the coal face of this new traffic fine system and will be able to offer you all the services required to view and pay your fines with ease and simplicity.
