What is Exxaro Fulltime Bursary?

The Exxaro Company has established fulltime bursary programmes into which young South African citizens are annually selected for full time studies at formal South African recognised tertiary institutions. The bursary is comprehensive and covers tuition fees, accommodation-, meals- and book fees /pocket money, as well as the purchase of a laptop/tablet.

Eligibility of Exxaro Fulltime Bursary

Feeder Scheme Bursaries :
Prepare bursars for successful careers in the organisation aligned with the company’s People Strategy (minimum of a 4-year degree), core mining industry disciplines. This includes being offered a possible Professional-in-Training opportunity after successful completion of your studies.

** Geology – currently 2nd academic year
** BEng Electrical Engineering – currently 2nd academic year
** BEng Industrial Engineering – currently 2nd or 3rd academic year
** BEng Mechanical Engineering – currently 2nd or 4th/final academic year
** BEng/BSc Metallurgical Engineering – currently 2nd or 3rd academic year
** BSc Mine Engineering – currently 2nd or 4th/final academic year
** Mine Surveying / MRM – currently 2nd academic year

Social Scheme Bursaries :
Prepare bursars for successful careers in the Communities where Exxaro operates. These study opportunities are aligned with the company’s Social Impact Strategy (minimum of a 3-year degree), occupations in high demand.
