Hamleys South Africa Return Policy
** You may only return Hamleys South Africa products that have been purchased at a Hamleys South Africa store.
** If you are, for any reason, dissatisfied with any item purchased in-store, you may return it to a Hamley’s store within 30 (Thirty) days* of purchase for a full refund, replacement or exchange provided you have the original tax invoice, and it is in its original packaging and is unopened.
** Hamleys South Africa reserves the right to reject the return of products that are not returned in accordance with this policy procedure.
** We may request that you pay delivery charges to return such goods back to you. Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
** If you are, for any reason, dissatisfied with any item purchased in-store, you may return it to any Hamleys store within 30 (Thirty) days* of purchase for a full refund, replacement or exchange provided you have the original tax invoice, and it is in its original packaging.
** Please note that gift cards may be purchased in-store and no refunds are permitted in this regard.
** Hamleys shall initiate a process of refund of the money paid by the User towards purchase of a Product, if upon conducting quality checks, it is satisfied that the Product being returned entitles the User to a refund.
** It is further clarified that the Hamleys shall not be required to make any refund in respect of any Product that it deems ineligible for a refund based on such quality checks.
** It is expressly clarified that the refund entitled to by a User shall not include money paid towards shipping charges or any other such charges applicable from time to time, except in case of a Product having a defect at the time of delivery (for reasons attributable to, and accepted by Hamleys after due verification at its sole discretion).
** Hamleys shall make all reasonable attempts to keep the User apprised of the status of refund through updates shared on the User’s registered mobile number and email address.
** Hamleys disclaims all liabilities that may arise on account of its failure to keep the User apprised of the status of the refund
** In the event a User returns a Product that is not accompanied by the accessories, gifts or other items originally bundled with such Product, Hamleys shall have the right, exercisable at its sole discretion, to (i) (a) refuse to accept the return of such Product, or (b) process any refund thereof, or (ii) deduct the amount payable in respect of such items from the amount of refund such User is entitled to.
** Hamleys shall, subject to the satisfactory completion of required quality checks on the returned Products, initiate a refund request.
** If the request for refund is undisputed by Hamleys, the refund should reflect in the User’s bank account within such reasonable time (subject to the policies of the User’s bank in case of bank account/credit card refunds) from the date on which Hamleys initiates the refund.
** Refunds shall be processed by Hamleys through its normal banking channels.
** Further, should the User have used more than 1 (one) payment option for the purchase of Products on the Platforms, Hamleys shall process all refunds through a Payment Option (as defined in the Fee, Payment and Promotions Policy) Hamleys deems fit, in its sole discretion, to process such refunds.
We unfortunately do not accept the below listed items as being eligible for any exchanges/refunds Before or After the 30 (Thirty) Day Purchase Period:
** Used apparel;
** Opened products
Special conditions may be applicable to returns of defective/malfunctioning products:
** The defective product(s) can be returned up to 6 (six) months from date of delivery by contacting our helpful customer service team who will advise you accordingly on email@example.com
** A “Defective Product” is one which contains a material imperfection in the manufacture or design that renders the product less acceptable, useful or safe than reasonably expected, under the circumstances.
** A product is in a defective condition if it is dangerous to the user or to the customer, when used in the prescribed way and/or for the purpose for which it was manufactured or designed.
** The product must be defective in itself (due to manufacture or design fault) and not damaged due to inappropriate use by the consumer.
** When returning a product after the 30 (Thirty) day standard returns period, a customer must provide full reasons for alleging that the product is defective, comply with the standard returns policy and, including stating how the product was utilised during the period that it was in the customer’s possession.
