How To Search EDULIS Catalogue Online?

** Go to the EDULIS website at: http://edulis.pgwc.gov.za
** The EDULIS ONLINE home page opens on the WCED CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT page. Click on Libraries under the EDULIS MENU (on left side of the page)
** Under heading: LIBRARY, in the middle section: Click on SLIMS written in blue
** The WCED ONLINE page with the quick search box opens. Fill in the search term in the left block (Search for). In the same line, click on the down arrow, (next to All branches). Click on: EDULIS Central Library Collection or the name of the Resource Centre of your choice
** Click on the “Search” button in the middle
** A result list will be displayed
** Click on the title of your choice to view the full detail of an item
** Available in the following libraries gives a summary of where the item is, its call number (spine mark e.g. 371.9046 INC – where to find it on the shelf) and whether it is available or charged out
** You can also do advanced searches by clicking on Catalogue and filling in the relevant search terms

Full-Text Conference Papers:
In addition to full-text journals, Education Source includes more than 3,700 full-text education-related conference papers.

Video Collection:
Education Source includes a collection of 475 videos from SimpleK12 to provide practical online teacher training that addresses the evolving landscape of education.

Topics covered include remote learning primers, virtual classroom tutorials, best practices in online pedagogy, e-learning software reviews, how to foster peer relationships in online environments, activities and examinations for remote students and more.

Additional Simplified Procedure

To search the EDULIS catalogue online, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the EDULIS catalogue website: http://education.slims.gov.za/
2. In the search bar, enter the keyword or phrase you are looking for.
3. You can also select the library you want to search from the drop-down menu.
4. Click on the “Search” button.

Note:
The results of your search will be displayed on the screen. You can then click on the title of the item you want to view more information about.

Here are some additional tips for searching the EDULIS catalogue:
** Use keywords that are specific to the item you are looking for. For example, instead of searching for “book”, you could search for “the hobbit” or “j.r.r. tolkien”.
