1. Make a short video in which you tell us why you are deserving of the two-year bursary at Agri Skills Transfer. Remember to begin the video with “Dear Food For Mzansi”. Don’t worry, you can speak in any South African language.
2. Upload the video on TikTok, Instagram or Facebook – whatever you prefer. Remember to tag Food For Mzansi and to use the hashtag #DearFoodForMzansi.

Terms and Conditions of Dear Food For Mzansi Bursary

** Only entries made using the form on official Food For Mzansi or Agri Skills Transfer channels will be accepted. Emailed entries, or entries made utilizing anything other than the official channels above, will not be considered.
** Video submissions must be done on social media and the link to the entry must be included in the submission form to qualify.
** Only applicants that meet the standard admission requirements will be considered and the bursary will only be viable for candidates that meet entry requirements.
** Applicants must be able to take up the scholarship in January of 2024.
** The bursary will be awarded for students registering for the National Diploma in Agri Sales and Service Management, National Diploma in Animal Production or National Diploma in Plant Production at Agri Skills Transfer.
** These bursaries are exclusively for online learning, providing accessibility and flexibility for aspiring students.
** Entries must be submitted on or before 31 January 2024. The platform will be closed following this date, and therefore entries submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
** All video submissions must be the entrant’s own original work and must have been created specifically for this competition (in direct response to the provided brief). Existing video entries cannot be used.
** Entrants may submit their video in any of South Africa’s official languages.
** By completing the form, all entrants agree that their submission is their own work, is not falsified, and is entirely accurate.
** In order to be considered for a bursary, all components must be entered (partly submitted components will not be considered, and final submissions without the required supporting documentation will not be considered).
** Once a submission is received, you will not be able to modify it whatsoever.
** Only one submission per applicant will be considered. Should an applicant submit multiple submissions – the first most recent submission will be considered.
** Your submission videos might be published on Food For Mzansi website or social media platforms.
** Food For Mzansi’s decision on all matters pertaining to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
** The bursary selection committee will consist of Food For Mzansi and Agri Skills Transfer teams.
** Winners and shortlisted entrants must be available for Skype/Google Meet/Zoom interviews if needed – a date will be decided on through correspondence.
** Bursaries may NOT be exchanged for cash, are not transferable and are only valid for the year 2024 and 2025 (towards the pursuit of full time studies).
** Students on the bursary programme are required to complete 120 credits per year.
** While Food For Mzansi and Agri Skills Transfer have 20 bursaries to award, please note that Food For Mzansi and Agri Skills Transfer reserve the right to reduce the number of bursary for any reason.
** All entrants are subject to the rules of the competition.
