What is Siyandisa Foundation Scholarship Programme?

Siyandisa Foundation Scholarship Programme is uniquely positioned to develop future leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, owners and managers. It is an encompassing programme aimed at the executive development of highly qualified black males and females. We annually identify top black male and female Grade 12 learners across South Africa and invest in them at secondary and tertiary level through technology tools, training, tutorship, mentorship, support, work opportunities, funding support and bursaries, to help them ultimately unlock employment opportunities.

How To Apply For Siyandisa Foundation Scholarship Programme?

1. Identify:
Identify eligible applicants from DBE Grade 11 information.

2. Apply:
Invite eligible applicants to apply for a scholarship. To apply send an email to chricelda [AT] siyandisatrust.co.za

3. Evaluate:
Applications are evaluated and successful applicants identified.

4. Award:
Recipients receive their scholarship packs at formal awards ceremony.

Siyandisa Foundation Scholarship Offering

Our scholarship provides a unique offering to our recipients. The entire offering is aimed at providing the necessary resources, funding, support and guidance to our recipients in Grade 12 and at tertiary level to enable them to achieve excellence.

Programme Support:
Recipients have access to a dedicated programme coordinator team that assists with general administration, support and coordination. All programme activities, communication and engagement are centrally coordinated and managed through the programme coordinator team.

Scholarship Pack:
Recipients each receive a tablet device, with protective cover, backpack, Vodacom data package for scholarship use, and integrated communication tools for calls, video chats and webinars.

Learning Resources:
Recipients obtain access to over 50 hours of quality, custom-developed video lectures by top teachers in Grade 12 subjects, as well as support webinars to assist with questions and trouble areas relating to Grade 12 topics.

Tutorship:
Recipients receive university preparation and application support during Grade 12. Recipients in their first year of tertiary studies at a recognised South African university also qualify for tutorship support under the Siyandisa Tutorship programme provided by Siyandisa Alumni.

Graduate Funding Support:
Recipients are exclusively eligible during their pre-graduate studies at a recognised South African university to apply for bridging funding support in respect of items such as registration fees, accommodation, academic books, travel etc. from the Siyandisa Foundation Support Fund. Funding is provided on an application basis and subject to T&C’s and available funds.

Executive Development:
Recipients that progress under the programme and perform academically well will qualify for consideration for academic funding and bursaries, mentorship, vacation and internship opportunities offered by programme partners as well as potential employment opportunities unlocked by the Execudev arm of the Scholarship Programme. Opportunities are provided on an application basis and subject to T&C’s and available funds and partners.
