** The benefits available to members are detailed in the Member Brochure and it is important for members of the scheme to familiarise themselves with the content of this guide, and its related administrative services to ensure benefits are availed of in a hassle and problem free manner.
** Should anything in the Member Brochure require further clarification members are requested to contact the scheme on the details noted in the contact page.
Ten Golden Rules :
** Familiarise yourself with the rules of the Scheme.
** Understand your rights and responsibilities as a member.
** Obtain pre-authorisation where necessary – even for follow-up visits.
** Remember authorisation does not guarantee full settlement of any claim.
** Always make use of the Designated Service Providers or Preferred Providers available to you.
** If possible, negotiate better rates with your Specialist / Anaesthetist or other service providers.
** Attend the Wellness Day and be screened for any health issues.
** If you have any chronic conditions, enquire about the Scheme’s specific treatment plans.
** Check your monthly member statement when received and follow-up on claims not paid or partially paid.
** Finally, if in doubt about anything, mail or phone the Client Contact Centre.

** The Netcare Medical Scheme website has been specifically developed for the benefit of members, and by registering on the site, you are able to review your monthly statements, claims and personal information on-line.
** To register, simply visit .netcaremedicalscheme.co.za and register by entering your membership number and identification number.
** Useful tips and healthcare advice is regularly posted on the website for your benefit.
