Postdoctoral Fellowship 2017 :
** Suitable candidates are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship hosted by the Arts of Africa Research Team (AART) linked to the SARChI Chair in ‘Geopolitics and the Arts of Africa’ at Rhodes University, South Africa.

** The fellowship is worth R200 000 per annum and is renewable for up to three years. Candidates must have obtained their PhD in a relevant discipline within the last five years.
** The successful Postdoctoral Fellow will be an active participant in the Arts of Africa Research Team, which currently consists of a Research Chair, one Postdoctoral Fellow, and 18 postgraduates who are pursuing Honours, Masters and PhD degrees.
** She or he will focus on publishing and will not be involved in undergraduate teaching. Funding for participation in relevant academic conferences will also be available.
** Preference will be given to candidates based on the African continent and working in a research area relevant to the Chair themes.
** Further information will be sent to potential applicants once an expression of interest has been received.
** Candidates must be resident in Grahamstown for the duration of the fellowship.
