What is DKM Employee Self Service?

The Dawid Kruiper Municipality (DKM) appears to have an Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal available for its staff. For the first login, employees are instructed to use their ID Number as the password. The system requires a strong password (minimum 8 characters, with 1 alpha and 1 numeric). About Dawid Kruiper Local Municipality:
Dawid Kruiper Municipality is a local municipality within the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It was established after the August 2016 local elections by merging the Mier and //Khara Hais local municipalities. The municipality is named after the San politician Dawid Kruiper.

Corporate services department is split into six departments:
Administration
:
Is responsible for minute taking for all council meetings i.e Executive Committee, Council, Portfolio Committees and Sub-committees. The division is also responsible for council municipal code and to ensure efficient registry.

Human Resource Management :
The Human Resources function is a staff function aimed at providing the organization with labour, and giving it specialized human resources services to help it to achieve the goals of the organization. The Human Resources section provides the following functions. Human resources provisioning, comprising human resources planning, recruitment, selection, placement, induction and career management.

Human resources maintenance, comprising the determination of conditions of service, remuneration structures, record keeping, personnel turn-over, settlement of disputes, advisory services, employer-employee relations, social responsibility. Employment equity and performance assessment. Human resources development comprises training and development for its staff. Occupational health and safety.

Communications :
Manages all formal communication from the municipality (external and internal) stakeholders to ensure that the image of the municipality is enhanced, Communications is responsible for maintaining the municipal website, Advertise press releases. To disperse the information throughout the organisation by means of written and verbal communication.

Legal Service :
To provide within the confines of the Constitution and other enabling legislation a dynamic legal environment that renders excellent legal services and ensures excellent executive decision-making and support to Council, thereby protecting Dawid Kruiper Municipality’s interests.

Policy and Research :
To provide an affordable quality service to Dawid Kruiper and its visitors and to execute the policies and programmes of the Council.
