What is McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion Competition?

X Friends Meal Promotion Competition is organised by McDonald’s South Africa. Person who purchase a McDonald’s X Friends Meal (10pc McNuggets Large Meal or Chicken Big Mac Large Meal or Big Mac Large Meal) to be eligible for entry into the Promotion. Participate and win Merchandise, Gift Hampers and Stay at Local MSC Cruise. Last date of Competition is 3rd March 2026.

Eligibility of McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion Competition

You must be a South African resident with a valid ID number, and you must be a registered McDonald’s South Africa App user to participate in the McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion (“the Promotion”).

The following are not eligible to participate:
(i) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to MSA DevCo (Pty) Ltd, t/a McDonald’s South Africa (“the Promoter”), or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter; or
(ii) a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Promotion.

How To Enter in the McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Competition?

During the McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion Competition, all participants are required to download (or access) the McDonald’s App and purchase a McDonald’s X Friends Meal (10pc McNuggets Large Meal or Chicken Big Mac Large Meal or Big Mac Large Meal) to be eligible for entry into the Promotion.

Registered McDonald’s App users may enter the Promotion in one of three ways:
** In store – Scan your MyM Loyalty Card and purchase any McDonald’s X Friends Meal during the Promotion using the following channels – SOK, Drive Thru or Front Counter.
** McDonald’s App – Redeem any McDonald’s X Friends Meal offer on the McDonald’s App from the ‘Deals’ section in the McDonald’s App during the Promotion using the following channels – SOK, Drive Thru, Front Counter, Table Service or Curbside.
** Radio – Send a WhatsApp to a participating radio station and stand a chance to participate in the ultimate Friends fan quiz.

Prizes of McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion Competition

1. McDonald’s X Friends Meal Merchandise
2. 50 Hampers (comprising 1 x Friends Hoodie, 1 x Friends T-Shirt, 1 x Friends Socks and 1 x Friends Caps)

3. South Africa Local MSC Cruise :
** The prize is for 4 adults for a 4-night stay including full board and port taxes.
** Cruise dates are anticipated to be during March 2026 and November/December 2026.
** Any transfers to/from South African airports to the MSC Cruise port of departure, taxes, travel insurance, gratuities, purchase of alcohol, spending money and anything else not expressly stated as included, is excluded from the prize.
** The trip must be booked and redeemed by 30 June 2026. The Promoter cannot alter the package or dates. Any costs incurred additional to the prize package elements listed are at the expense of winner and/or their companions.
** Winners and their friends are responsible for their own personal safety and protection on the MSC Cruise. The Promoter is not liable for any injury or loss suffered by the winner or their friends once the prize has been redeemed.
** The prize may be subject to terms and conditions applied by the prize sponsor, MSC Cruises.

4. Customers who have submitted a valid entry (in one of the three ways described above) stand a chance to win McDonald’s X Friends Meal merchandise and the South Africa Local MSC Cruise.
5. Prizes must be claimed by the winner in person. The Promoter cannot accept prize collections by a third party.
6. The Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact the eligible prize winners. In the event that the Promoter is not able to contact the eligible prize winners or if any prizes are not claimed by the due date, the prizes will be forfeited.
7. Prizes may not be exchanged for any cash or other alternative, and prizes are not transferable, divisible, or permitted to be sold.
8. All advertisements depicting the prizes and prize descriptions are illustrative rather than definitive.

The McDonald’s South Africa X Friends Meal Promotion Competition is scheduled to take place from 7 January 2026 to 3 March 2026 at participating restaurants (Last Date). These dates are subject to change and may be reduced or extended by the Promoter and the deadline for prize claims may consequentially be changed.
