To become a Labour Party Member, Follow the below steps

The price for membership is R 20.00 per Year. Membership expires after 12 Months.

Who can Become a Labour Party Member?
** Membership is open to all South African citizens who are 16 years or older.
** Membership is subject to approval by the Party’s leadership;
Responsibilities of Labour Party Member:
** Members must uphold the Party’s constitution, policies and rules and strictly abide by same, and by applying for membership irrevocably and unconditionally agree to be bound to same.
** Members must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Party and not in any way bring the Party’s good name and/or reputation into dispute;
** Members must pay annual membership fees and as determined by the Party from time to time.
Termination of Labour Party Membership:
** Membership may be terminated by the Party’s leadership for misconduct or breach of the Party’s constitution and policies, and for any other reason that, in the opinion of the Party’s leadership, justifies same;
** Membership may only be terminated after the Party has followed due process and allowed the member an opportunity to state why membership should not be terminated and after being provided with the reasons why the Party is contemplating same;
** Membership may be terminated by the Member upon written notice to the Party.

** Provide honest, capable leadership.
** Make communities safe by enforcing by-laws and use technology to prevent crime and corruption.
** Build an activist state with strong communities, supported by responsive public institutions.
** In-source key municipal services and make EPWPs permanent employees.
** Ensure that all informal trade (e.g. Spaza shops) is owned by South Africans.
** Create full employment through labour-intensive industrialisation programmes in a wage-led economy.
** Introduce trade embargoes to protect local industries and create local jobs.
** Reform education to produce job creators and not job seekers.
