1. I contacted STANLIB online for balance of Money Market account. I was asked security questions, which I answered honestly. I was asked these again, which I again answered correctly. Then told, I had not passed the security check and have now been blocked on system. I am a pensioner and am not at all happy at having to now go to a branch for security clearance. I am very unhappy at this whole procedure.

2. STANLIB no longer accepts my password, which to my knowledge, was not changed by me (or) notified to me by STANLIB that it had changed. Yesterday, when I pressed the “forgot button” it stated, they could only do it during office hours. It was early afternoon! I then went on to the HELP line but “they” could not understand my simple questions and I thus requested a call from a consultant. I await the call from a consultant. Can you advise me how long I have to wait in order to set a new password?

    I am 84 years old and have tried to find an e-mail address for Stanlib, but all I get is apps and call centre numbers where one waits forever for a person to talk to. All I want is to give my broker (Alta Kotze) my change of address for my Life Annuity. Is she on leave, as I get no response to my email, or phone calls.     I am truly tired of STANLIB’s empty promises and receiving automatic responses that acknowledge receipt of my emails, which I was also told by one of your consultants are blank emails.

    I called STANLIB twice today after numerous calls that I have made on a daily basis; often calling more than once in a single day. The consultant that I spoke to today, LITERALLY dropped the phone in my ear after telling me to hold while he consulted with his superior on the matter.

    As promised by one of your consultants, an IMMEDIATE manual payment of the funds into the late estate account is ALL that I require as a response.

    I will not wait for a response from STANLIB by end of day tomorrow because I am certain that, like all of the other responses I have awaited, it will not come. Instead, I will persistently call from 08:00 tomorrow morning and stay on the line, until the funds are paid and this matter is finalised. Should the consultant(s) drop the phone in my ear again, I will PERSIST and continue to call again and again and again, until the funds reflect in the late estate account.

    This matter has dragged on for far too long, taking much of my precious work and personal time and I refuse to go into the weekend with this matter still pending.

    Both of you have also failed to respond to the emails I have sent you and I await no response from you this time either.

    Enough is enough!
