Economic Analyst :

** The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice based on the Parliamentary budgeting process drawing on the application of economic theory and knowledge.

Key Performance Areas Include :
** Sound Research and reporting skills
** Economic and Budget Analysis
** Fiscal Advice
** Annual Work plans
** Communication and information dissemination.

Minimum Requirements :
** Grade 12 or NQF 4
** Relevant Honours Degree in Development Economics, Economics or Business economics
** 5 years relevant experience in Economic analysis.

Skills Requirements :
** Thorough knowledge of the Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Act
** Advanced writing, analytical and quantitative and presentation skills
** Ability to work independently and methodically
** In-depth knowledge and expertise in economics budget analysis
** Ability to communicate at all levels

** Knowledge and understanding of prevailing socio-political issues in South Africa
** Knowledge and understanding of sensitivities within the political environment
** Knowledge of legislative framework
** Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
** In-depth knowledge of the Finance Management of Parliament Act (FMPA)
** Understanding of Government policy in relation to finance.
