What is Vodacom Unlock Summer Competition?

Vodacom (Pty) Ltd is running the Vodacom Unlock Summer Competition (Promotion), where you stand a chance of winning your share of amazing prizes The Unlock Summer promotion is available to all Vodacom Prepaid, Top-Up and Contract customers, including those who activate a new SIM card on or port into the Vodacom network during the promotional period. Non-Vodacom customers will not be able to participate in the Unlock Summer Promotion. The Vodacom Unlock Summer promotion will start on the 20th of October 2023, and it will run until the 29th of February 2024.

Eligibility of Vodacom Unlock Summer Competition

** The Unlock Summer promotion is available to all Vodacom Prepaid, Top-Up and Contract customers, including those who activate a new SIM card on or port into the Vodacom network during the promotional period.
** Vodacom Business end users are also eligible to participate in the promotion. Any Vodacom Business end user who participates in the promotion shall obtain the required consent, where applicable, from the Vodacom Business account holder with whom it is employed by.
** Vodacom Business customers purchasing any products or services by either adding to bill or via credit card are eligible for rewards.
** Master and child accounts can participate in the Unlock Summer Promotion.
** Non-Vodacom customers will not be able to participate in the Unlock Summer Promotion

How To Enter in the Vodacom Unlock Summer Competition?

1. You can join the promotion at any time throughout its duration.

2. To participate in the Unlock Summer promotion, you will need to opt in via one of the following channels:
** My Vodacom App
** VodaPay App
** USSD (by dialling *133#)

3. By opting into the Unlock Summer promotion, you will also be opted into the VodaBucks Rewards Programme  and will enjoy all the benefits of the Vodacom Rewards Programme.

4. You are only required to opt in and accept the terms and conditions once in order to participate in the promotion. On USSD, you will be able to play the Daily Free Unlock Summer game, but will not be able to redeem prizes, earn VodaBucks, play Mega Unlock games until you have opted in to the promotion. On the MyVodacom App and the VodaPay App, you will be required to opt in first, before being allowed to participate in any Unlock Summer elements.

5. Customers who are currently opted into the VodaBucks Rewards Programme will not be required to opt into the Unlock Summer Promotion.

6. By opting into the Unlock Summer promotion, you provide Vodacom with permission to collect information regarding your usage on the Vodacom network, in order to reward you with VodaBucks for goals completed and provide you with personalised offers. This information is protected under the Protection of Personal Information Act.

7. You can opt out of the promotion at any time by selecting ‘opt out’ option on the Unlock Summer menu/page on USSD, My Vodacom App and VodaPay App).

Prizes of Vodacom Unlock Summer Competition

Daily Free Unlock Summer Game:
** You get one free Unlock Summer game on USSD every day that you play to stand a chance to win your share of prizes.
** You get a 2nd free Unlock Summer game on the My Vodacom App.
** You get a 3rd free Unlock Summer game on the VodaPay App every day.
** You will receive an SMS notification when your prize is allocated successfully.
** Playing daily free Unlock Summer games will be zero-rated (free) on USSD, the My Vodacom App and the VodaPay App.
** Free daily Unlock Summer games expire at the end of each day (23:59 on day of allocation) if not played. They will not accumulate.
** Daily Unlock Games are games of chance and not determined by skill.

When playing a Free Daily Unlock Game, you stand a non-guaranteed chance to win prizes, including but not limited to:
** Free data, voice, SMS and integrated bundles
** Discounts on data, voice, SMS and integrated bundles
** Content-specific bundles and Vodacom Tickets
** Discounted/ free digital content subscriptions
** Lifestyle vouchers (food, clothing, personal care items. etc.)

Entries into Grand Prize draws:
** Homeware
** Smart Appliances
** Fuel for a year
** VodaBucks
** Bursary
** Cash into VodaPay wallet
** Inverters

To play a daily free Unlock Summer game, you will be required to:
** Complete a visual game if you’re playing on VodaPay and the My Vodacom App.
** Select the “Play” with the Daily Unlock menu option if you are playing on USSD.

Daily Paid Unlock Summer Games:
** You can purchase a daily unlock at the cost of one (1) VodaBuck after you have depleted your free daily unlock games. Vodacom reserves the right to change the number of VodaBucks required to play a Daily Unlock Games during the Promotion period.
** You can purchase a maximum of five (5) Daily Unlock Games every day.

Mega Unlock Games:
** You can use your VodaBucks to play a Mega Unlock Game to stand a chance win a prize.
** You can play up to fifteen (15) Mega Unlock Games using your VodaBucks per day.
** Each Mega Unlock game costs five (5) VodaBucks. Vodacom reserves the right to change the number of VodaBucks required to play a Mega Unlock Games during the campaign period.

To play a Mega Unlock Summer game, you will be required to:
** Complete a visual game if you’re playing on VodaPay and the My Vodacom App.
** Select the “Play” with the Daily Unlock menu option if you are playing on USSD.

Upsize Your Prize:
** You will be offered the ability to upsize some of your prizes by adding a personalized product.
** The Upsize service will be available for purchase to all Vodacom subscribers (Prepaid, Top Up and Postpaid customers)
** The Upsize Service will randomly be presented to customers within their Unlock Summer journeys. Please note that the circumstances under which a customer is presented with an Upsize will be determined by an automated engine and customers will not presented with a Upsize in every instance.
** Your prize won will be allocated, regardless of whether you choose to upsize your prize or not.
** All prices of Upsizes are inclusive of VAT.

Sharing VodaBucks:
** You can share VodaBucks on these participating channels:
** USSD (*133#)
** VodaPay
** You can share VodaBucks with all Vodacom customers (Prepaid, Top Up and Postpaid).
