1. Diploma in Fashion :
** This qualification allows learners to master the necessary entry level practical and theoretical skills to be able to operate effectively in the following vocational environments
** fashion design, fashion production and manufacture, wardrobe for film and television, fashion trend analysis, fashion buying and merchandising, fashion marketing, fashion journalism and fashion styling.

Requirements :
** National Senior Certificate or equivalent without endorsement.
** (Minimum achievement rating of ‘3’ [40 – 49%] in four or more NCS subjects + Life Orientation).
** National Certificate Vocational (minimum achievement of 60% in three fundamental subjects i.e. Group A Fundamental Component [including the language of learning and teaching] + at least 70% in four compulsory vocational subjects i.e. Group B Vocational Component).
** Mature age exemption: admission granted to students older than 23 years with relevant work experience.
** Admission via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): partial exemption of courses; credit transfer; or advanced standing.

Duration : 3 Years Full time

2. Bachelor of Arts in Fashion :
** This qualification allows learners to master all the necessary entry level practical and theoretical skills to be able to operate effectively in all variations of the following environments: fashion design, fashion production and manufacture, wardrobe for film and television, fashion trend analysis, fashion buying and merchandising, fashion marketing, fashion journalism and fashion styling.

Requirements :
** The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with endorsement.
** OR At least 22 years of age and have suitable work experience.
** If you have completed parts of the learning programme at another institution, or in an aligned discipline, and wish to be considered for partial exemption from the learning programme courses or modules.
** AND you need to write the LISOF BA Assessment Test (free).

Competition Terms & Conditions :
1.1 This Bursary competition is organised by LISOF (Pty) Ltd, registration number 1997/021048/07.
2.1 The competition commences on 16 October 2016 and ends on 29 January 2017.
3.1 Entries to the competition commence on 16 October 2016 and submission of entries close at 12:00 on 9 December 2016.
3.2 My Fashion Career Bursary Competition is not open to current LISOF students.

Entry into the competition is by completion of an entry form on the competition webpage on the
** LISOF website as per the entry mechanism reflected on any of the marketing material, such as print advertisements or social media posts.

In order to be eligible to enter the competition the following must apply:
4.1 you are over the age of 16 at date of entry;
4.2 if you are under 18 years you need parental consent;
4.3 you have a valid South African National Senior Certificate or South African National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4;
4.4 you are in possession of your valid South African ID document or birth certificate;

4.5 you are a South African citizen or have permanent residency in South Africa;
4.6 your complete, accurate and up to date name, contact details are on record with Lisof;
4.7 certified proof of identification will be requested as verification of the entrant’s legal status;

Qualifying Criteria :
1. Diploma in Fashion:
1.1 Must pass Grade 12 with University endorsement.
1.2 Subject requirements: 40% or more for at least four subjects, excluding Life Orientation.

2. Bachelor of Arts in Fashion :
2.1 Must pass Grade 12 with University endorsement.
2.2 Subject requirements: 50% or more for at least four subjects, excluding Life Orientation and at least 50% or more for Mathematics and at least 70% or more for Mathematics Literacy.

3.Bachelor of Commerce in Fashion :
3.1 Must pass Grade 12 with University endorsement.
3.2 Subject requirements: 50% or more for at least four subjects, excluding Life Orientation and at least 60% or more for Mathematics or 80% or more for Mathematics Literacy.

4. Bachelor of Arts Honours in Fashion :
4.1 Students need to pass a 360 credit (minimum), registered (by SAQA) undergraduate Bachelor’s qualification in a fashion or commercial context.
4.2 Subject requirements: 65% or more for all major subjects.
