Can I change the dates on my ticket?
Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this question – the rules vary between airlines and different rules pertain to each airfare and booking class.Please note that a handling fee may apply when we check the fare conditions of your ticket for you even if the outcome is that the airline does not allow changes.

Can I travel on one flight leg and cancel the other?
You may choose to fly on your outbound flight and not use your return flight. However, this does not apply the other way around. If you don’t check in for one of your flights, the airline will cancel all the remaining parts of the ticket, which will become invalid. Please note that you will not get any money refunded for any parts of the ticket not used.

Can I change departure or destination city on my booking / ticket?
No, it is unfortunately not possible to change departure or destination cities on your booking.

How do I cancel my booking?
Please Contact Us so that we can check the fare regulation of your ticket. Not all tickets are refundable with many being only partially refundable Once we have established the possible refund you are entitled to, we will request it with the airline on your behalf. The refund will be made by the airline directly to the account the booking was originally paid with. This can take 6 to 8 weeks depending on the airline. Please note that we charge a refund administration fee to facilitate the refund request.

When do I pay for my booking?
You should pay immediately or before midnight (South African time) on the day the booking was made in order to have the quoted price guaranteed.

Is it safe to make the payment online?

    hi, I have a terrible experience with Travel start, I booked a ticket with them and take more than the price of the ticket and did emailed them they don’t reply and they did not refund my money until now, is there any number where I can speak to any one regarding this?

    Unbelievable! I am starting to think Travelstart is bankrupt. The ‘help’addresses and numbers don’t work, or have been disconnected. It’s impossible to speak to anyone. I wonder if the fact that they can’t/won’t refund my airfare means that they have stolen it from me? No chance of using this company again. I wish I’d checked with Hello Peter.

    Terrible agency – waiting time 73 minutes in queue – I am waiting 4 months to get a refund after a travel ban due to Covid.
    Please do not opt for the “Comprehensive Travel Insurance (incl. COVID19)” – it seems that it only ensures that my numerous emails, and WhatsApp messages are ignored.
    This is the worst travel agency – rather book at the airline directly
    Is there any regulating body that Travelstart can be reported to? Or can we open a fraud case?

    Do you see the comments Travel Start. I see that I am one of many with the same concerns. Why do you have a whatsapp number when they do not assist with any queries. It is impossible to get hold of you. Your email address does not assist with any query. It is at least a fifteen minute hold to contact you on the 021 number, only to be given another email address. Your 0861 number does not work, please take it off your website. I have sent you proof of payment, but you still cancel my flight. The funds have been deducted from my account, so how now? I need to speak to someone, anybody at your payment department.

    This is the most useless Company to book tickets with. I had endless problems during covid now that we can fly they still just as useless. Stefan as CEO you will def have to start doing something to get your company name sorted or you going to loose a lot of people. You send emails we reply and then no response from you so why you sending emails if you cant reply useless, and pathetic.     This is the worst travel agent I have ever seen and their numbers are not answered only to be notified that it does not exist when it rings several times. Their what’s up service its like their playing games. I would personally not advise anyone to book through this agency . Poor poor poor service.

    Flight cancelled due to the travel ban, but the system shows that I am Non-Show customer,tried to contact the office to book the flight again but the reply is that I must contact them 48 hours before the flight, the airline cancelled the flight now I must take the responsibility? and I cant find any human at Travelstart to help, send a lot of emails and tried to call many times, still no answer, the service is so bad

    I HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR A FLIGHT THAT TRAVELSTART CANCELLED.I rebooked two new flights but i am still waiting for my refund after sending proof that payment went through on the cancelled flight. I have sent numerous emails. This is the worst customer service ever!Why can one not speak to someone in person?

    Hi I booked a flight this morning and was given an amount of R 674.48 .when responding to the sms for authorisation I immediately got a reply saying I have been charged for R2781.35 in my account. this is a serious violation of my rights . I demand an immediate refund as well as an apology

    Are there any live human beings at Travelers? I need information URGENTLY. I am trying to get confirmation that a wheelchair will be available for my 88 year old husband for flights between Cape Town and Bloemfontein. I cannot request one until I have booked and paid. They, the robots, tell me, that there are not many wheelchairs available and I will be notified about availability. I am waiting several days for confirmation, but it seems other travellers also have a problem with the fact that there are no human beings in the company.

    Do NOT book through this company. It’s impossible to get hold of them using any of the channels listed. A flight on our order was cancelled by the airline and now it is seemingly impossible to contact Travelstart to see what alternative options are available.

    Oh my word I have never seen customer service so bad. 021 468 4300 just has a message about covid and refers to live chat.
    No one answers live chat, tried several times.
    Sent a message on mail will take 24 hours to respond , really I need an answer now about a flight I am suppose to catch in two hours , not in 24 hours.
    Perhaps you should change the management of customer service even my 7 year old would give better customer service.
