Independent Member – Audit and Risk Committee :
** In terms of Sections 76 and 77 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999) as amended and read in conjunction with Chapter 3 of the Treasury regulations, the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications invites applications from interested and suitably qualified persons (individuals not entities) to fill one(1) vacant position on the Audit Committee.

Requirements :
** A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (NQF7) or equivalent qualifications in the fields of law, auditing, engineering or human resources plus traceable experience of serving in audit committees and be a member of recognized professional body.
** Be independent and knowledgeable with legal or regulatory prescripts.
** Display highest level of integrity and objectivity.
** Not be a political office bearer and have the best interest of serving the NRCS with dignity and demonstrate commitment.
Responsibilities :
** The roles and responsibilities of the Audit Committee and consequently its members are clearly outlined in the Audit Committee Charter and are in line with the provisions of Chapter 3 of the Treasury Regulations.
** However, the Audit Committee is an oversight body and has non-executive status, reports and make recommendations to the Accounting Authority who ensure that such recommendations are implemented.
Remuneration :
** The members of the Audit Committee are remunerated in terms of National Treasury prescripts and rates.
