Key Performance Areas :
** The Chemistry Department has currently a vacancy for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Organic Chemistry who has a flair for being an outstanding teacher and will participate in lecturing responsibilities from under-graduate to Honours level.

** In addition the appointee must actively pursue independent research or participate in a collaborative effort with staff within the department.

** The present areas of activity pursued within the discipline are, but not limited to, Natural Product Chemistry and Organic Synthesis.
** Preference would however be given to candidates with a strong Organic Synthesis background, and evidence of possibly attracting research funding.

Minimum Requirements :
Senior Lecturer :
** PhD in Organic Chemistry (ideally with post-doc experience),
** Formal experience and competence in the teaching of Organic Chemistry at all levels at a tertiary institution as well as a
** Good publication record that reflects current research initiative and potential of the applicant.

Lecturer level :
** PhD in Organic Chemistry together with
** Reasonable experience in the delivery of Organic Chemistry lectures at a tertiary institution.
