** It is important that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions before you use Cell C’s Emergency Airtime Service/ Auto TopUp

** All standard Terms and Conditions of Cell C and Cell C Service Provider apply to the Emergency Airtime/Auto TopUpService (“the Service”).
** All prices and usage rates advertised include VAT, unless otherwise stated.

** The Service is available to Cell C Prepaid and Top Up customers who have recharged with at least R20 (twenty rand) per month for the last 2 (two) months and who have been active on the Cell C network for 2 (two) months or more.
** A customer, who has run out of Cell C airtime, can use the service to obtain Emergency Airtime.

** The airtime denominations available will be R3, R5, R10, R15, R25, R50 or R100 only.
** Customers will be presented with the airtime denominations that they qualify for based on their credit profile.
** A flat fee for the Service (“Service Fee”) of R1.00 (one rand) will be charged by Cell C per Emergency Airtime transaction when the customer uses the Service.

** The total amount payable by the customer will be the Service Fee together with the amount of airtime that has been provided to the customer (“the total value”). The customer will be liable to pay the total value. When the customer recharges, the total value must be paid. For example, if a customer uses the Service and is provided with R5.00 airtime, the customer will be liable to pay R5.00 (airtime amount) plus R1.00 (Service Fee) which equals R6 (total value to be paid).

** Should the customer recharge with a lower denomination than that of the total value, the full amount of the recharge will be deducted until the full cumulative value of the airtime has been paid.

** A customer will only be allowed to use the Service again once the previous total value has been paid by the customer.
** The customer can dial *147# or *147*7# to access the Service.

** Customers that have not paid Cell C the total value and who wish to migrate to a post-paid package would first need to settle their outstanding airtime balance before they are able to migrate.

** The customer can pay for the Service (i.e. the total value) by loading Cell C airtime.
** The airtime provided with the Service can be used to make voice calls, send SMSs and MMSs or use Data, but cannot be used for any premium rated content or services.

** No recharge bonuses or promotions will be provided to the customer in terms of the service. In other words, products and promotions like SUPACHARGE or MegaBonus will not be applicable to the airtime provided to the customer.

Cell C Auto TopUp Service

** The Emergency Airtime Auto TopUp Service is available to Cell C Prepaid and Top Up customers who have recharged with at least R20 (twenty rand) per month for the last 2 (two) months and who have been active on the Cell C network for 2 (two) months or more.

** Customers must opt-in to the Auto TopUp Service and may opt-out of the Auto TopUp Service at any time.

** If the customer has opted-in to the Auto TopUp Service and their airtime balance (paid for airtime) reaches R2 or lower, their account will automaticallybe credited with the amount they have selected at the opt-in stage or the next lower qualifying denomination.

** Customers must have at least R0.05 (5 cents) in their prepaid airtime balance to enable the Emergency AirtimeAuto TopUp functionality.

** The airtime denominations available will be R3, R5, R10, R15, R25, R50 or R100.
** Customers will be presented with the airtime denominations that they qualify for based on their credit profile.

Additional Simplified Procedure

Here are the steps on how to get Cell C Emergency Airtime TopUp Service:
1. Dial **147#** on your Cell C phone.
2. Select the “Emergency Airtime” option.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to request airtime.
4. You will be charged a one-time access fee of R1.10.
5. The amount of airtime you will receive will depend on your credit history and repayment behaviour.
6. You will receive an SMS confirming your emergency airtime allocation.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
** You can only use emergency airtime to make calls, send SMSes, and use data.
** You cannot use emergency airtime to purchase bundles or add-ons.
** You will need to repay your emergency airtime within 30 days.
** If you do not repay your emergency airtime, you will be charged a late payment fee of R2.50 per day.

Here are some other ways to get Cell C airtime:
** Recharge your phone online or through the Cell C app.
** Buy a Cell C voucher from a retailer.

    Hi I need you add an opt – out because I don’t need this airtime anymore, it was not me , the children was stilling my phone pls stop for me now

    I’m so frustrated with cellc
    I honesty don’t know how I ended up with this auto top up ,it’s taking my all my airtime and I have contacted call centre wich I was given wrong info ..there is no options to cancel or opt out..cell c better get back to me before I make things a living hell like you doing to me.

    We need you to add an opt_ out option so that it can be easy for your customers. I Need your help to opt_ out please, when I choose auto topup I thought it was a onceoff thing but now it is continuos so please opt me out
