SA Weddings Bride of the Year Competition

** Bridal Room is a boutique that offers a unique approach to helping the bride find her perfect wedding gown.

Eligibility

** The competition is not open to the directors and employees and their immediate families or sponsors or advertising service providers associated with SA Weddings.
** The competition is open to brides of all colour, cultures, religions and sexes.

** Finalists will be notified in April 2018.
** The finale is on a date that is to be confirmed. Kindly note – SAWeddings will merely contribute toward the flights and accommodation for the 12 finalists.

** At the finale, a panel of celebrity judges will score each bride and select one winner, a 1st princess and a 2nd princess.
** In the case of a draw for first place, the celebrity judges will be requested to cast an additional vote between the two finalists.

Terms & Conditions

** The Bride of the Year 2017 competition runs from 4 April 2017 and entries close on 28 February 2018, midnight.

** To enter SA Weddings Bride of the Year competition, participants must register on the .saweddings.co.za website
** The Bride of the Year 2017 competition is only valid to brides whom got married in 2017 (1 January – 31 December)

** Brides are allowed to enter with non-professional wedding photos
** Entries for Bride of the Year 2017 close on 28 February 2018
** Brides are categorized by the month in which they were married

** Brides only compete with entries from the month in which they got married. This ensures that the timeframe for all brides to source votes are fair
** One winner is chosen for each month based on the number of SMS votes received
** One SMS = One Vote
** The bride with the most votes for each month will become a top 12 finalist

** Voting for Bride of the Year 2017 takes place throughout the year and closes on 31 March 2018, midnight.
** Votes of all brides remain confidential throughout the competition. Brides will only be able to view and know their own amount of votes

** SMS votes are charged at R5 per SMS
** SA Weddings uses an outsourced service provider, Clickatell, to manage the voting system
** SA Weddings cannot guarantee the delivery of international votes
** a draw for first place, the celebrity judges will be requested to cast an additional vote between the two finalists.

Prize

** There is only one (1) Grand Prize winner. During the course of the competition consolation prizes worth varying amounts may be awarded at random to entrants and to voters.
** Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or another prize.

** The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
** The Finale brides whose weddings are featured as part of SAWeddings’ Real Wedding series, does not have any advantage pertaining to the outcome of the competition.

** SAWeddings.co.za reserves the right to make media and /or publications announcements about competition winners.
** The name of the winners will be published on .saweddings.co.za
