Application for Learners Licence Test

You will need :
1. Acceptable identification
2. Two ID photographs
3. R68-00
** You will receive a date and time to write the test. If for some reason you have to postpone you will have to go to the office and re-schedule your appointment at least two days before.

Services Offered By Knysna Municipality

The Knysna Municipality offers a range of services to its residents, including:

Water and Sanitation Services :
The municipality is responsible for the provision and maintenance of water and sanitation services to its residents, including the management of water supply, sewage systems, and waste water treatment.

Electricity Services :
The municipality is responsible for the provision and maintenance of electricity services, including the management of power supply, maintenance of electricity infrastructure, and the distribution of electricity.

Waste Management Services :
The municipality is responsible for the management of waste removal and disposal services, including the collection and disposal of household and commercial waste.

Additional Simplified Procedure

As of now, the Knysna Municipality does not offer online application for driver’s licenses. You can still apply for a driver’s license in Knysna by visiting the Customer Care Centre at the Old Stand Bank Building, Main Street, Knysna.

Here are the documents you need to bring when applying for a driver’s license in Knysna:
** Valid ID: This could be your South African ID, passport, or driver’s license.
** Proof of address: This could be a utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement.
** Learner’s licence: If you are applying for a driver’s licence for the first time, you will need to provide your learner’s licence.
** Two ID photographs: These photographs must be recent and in colour.
** Eye test certificate: You will need to pass an eye test before you can be issued with a driver’s licence.

The application process for a driver’s licence in Knysna is as follows:
1. Visit the Customer Care Centre at the Old Stand Bank Building, Main Street, Knysna.
2. Complete the application form.
3. Pay the application fee.
4. Submit your documents.
5. Take a driving test.
6. Receive your driver’s licence.

The application fee for a driver’s licence in Knysna is R250. The driving test fee is R150. The driving test in Knysna is conducted by the Western Cape Department of Transport.     Unfortunately i work on construction sites mostly out of town, it is almost impossible for me to make these hours, would i be able to send my wife with my id photos, old drivers license, ID document and eye test from an optometrist to renew on my behalf. Regards
