1. How do I register as a Domestic Employer?
To register your Domestic uFiling account you need to have the following documents and information available.

** The Domestic employers valid 13 Digit South African ID.
** Your e-mail address where all correspondence will be emailed.
** If a practitioner is registering a domestic employer as a, the domestic employers details are required.

** Your banking details and valid branch code that you will nominate to be used to securely pay your UIF contributions.
** The employees valid 13 Digit South African ID number.
** The employee’s employment details.

2. Can an activated uFiler make a payment for another UIF contributor?
No, however activating as an practitioner will allow a user to administer other Domestic Employers and Commercial Employers. This includes the ability to receive monthly issued declarations, to submit declarations and pay contributions on behalf of these Employers.

3. Can I use my credit card to make payments to the UIF?
No, UIF will only accept payments via debit order or via Internet banking credit push.

4. Are future-dated transactions accepted by any Banking facility?
Future-dated transactions are allowed for activated uFilers for all the major banks. It must be noted however, that ABSA Direct does not allow future dated transactions, and Standard Bank Business Online (CATS) require transactions on the day that the transaction is created.

5. How far is my Claim process?
You will receive a case number upon submitting your claim, please login to uFiling to check the progress or contact the call centre at 012 337 1680.

6. When will I get my First Payments?
You will be notified once the claim is approved when to submit a payment request form.

7. Can I pay outstanding penalties and interest on uFiling?
No, uFiling does not allow for the payment of penalties and Interest. Please contact the UIF directly to obtain the correct amounts for penalties and Interest.

The UIF will then provide you with the correct reference numbers and account number to use when paying penalties and Interest.
