How To Check UWC Application Status?

Students who applied for Admission in University of the Western Cape can check their application status online.

Please complete the ID / Passport and Application Number fields

Step-1 : Go to the link https://student.uwc.ac.za/
Step-2 : Click on “Application Status” link


Step-3 : Enter the South African ID Number or Passport Number
Step-4 : Then enter the Application Number
Step-5 : Enter your Email Address
Step-6 : Click on Submit button.

UWC Point System :
For admission to degree and diploma programmes UWC uses a weighted system for calculating points. In order to be admitted to degree studies the candidate should have attained a minimum number of points. Please refer to each faculty’s admission requirements, available here, to determine the number of points required for the desired programme.

In addition to point score requirements mentioned above, specific programme admission requirements are also listed. These additional criteria must be met to qualify for admission to particular study programmes.

3. Click on the “Application Status” link.
4. Enter your UWC Application Number and your SA ID or Passport Number.
5. Click on the “Submit” button.

You will then be able to see the status of your application, including the following:
** Application Received: Your application has been received by UWC and is being processed.
** Application Under Review: Your application is currently being reviewed by UWC.
** Application Approved: Your application has been approved and you have been offered a place at UWC.
** Application Declined: Your application has been declined. You will receive a letter from UWC explaining the reason for the decline.
