Ukwazi Apply For Admission

Applications for 2022 for the HIGHER CERTIFICATE IN NURSING (R169) and the DIPLOMA IN NURSING (R171) are now open and will CLOSE ON 30 JUNE 2021 wherafter all applicants meeting our admission criteria will be entered into a selection process.

Qualifications

Stundents can currently study for two (2) accredited and registered nursing qualifications at UKWAZI SCHOOL OF NURSING

** the HIGHER CERTIFICATE in AUXILIARY NURSING (SAQA ID 98915)(NQF Level 5) – a 1 year qualification leading to registration as an auxiliary nurse with the SOUTH AFRICAN NURSING COUNCIL ; and

** the DIPLOMA IN NURSING (SAQA ID 97938)(NQF Level 6) – a 3 year qualification leading to registration as a general nurse.

Please Note : all students must write the admission to practice (“board”) examinations set by the SOUTH AFRICAN NURSING COUNCIL after having obtained their qualifications at the School

UKWAZI SCHOOL OF NURSING commenced with these qualifications this year.

Application Fees

A deposit of R3000-00 (which includes a non-refundable APPLICATION FEE of R1000-00 and which will be deducted from the DEPOSIT) is payable – the banking details appear in the Information Brochure.

Please ensure that the correct banking details are used of the campus to which application is made. Proof of payment must accompany your payment without which your application will not be processed.

Communication To Applicants

You will receive separate email and / or SMS communications regarding the outcome of your application.

Please therefore ensure that your email and cellphone contact details are correctly given herein. PLEASE INFORM US IMMEDIATELY OF ANY CHANGES TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS / CELLPHONE NUMBER.

Academic Documents

The following documents must be submitted with your application – copies of documents to be certified.

1. Applicants currently studying towards a South African Grade 12
** South African Identity document
** Proof of payment of Application Fee

2. Applicants having already completed a South African Grade 12
** Final Grade 12 statement of symbols
** National Senior Certificate or Senior Certificate (prior to 2008) or IEB certificate or SACAI
** Higher education qualification if obtained at another higher education institution

** Academic record and certificate of conduct if registered / completed at another higher education institution
** Proof of payment of application fee

3. International Applicants
** Passport
** Study permit / asylum certificate
** International school-leaving statement of symbols
** International qualification certificate with SAQA evaluation document

** Academic record and certificate of conduct if registered / completed at another higher education institution in South Africa
** Proof of payment of application fee

Deposit & Application Fee

i. A DEPOSIT of R3000-00 is payable without which an application will not be considered. A copy of the deposit slip must accompany this Application Form. An APPLICATION FEE of R1000-00 which is non-refundable is included in the deposit.

The balance (or R2000-00) will go towards part-payment of tuition fees for successful applications or will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants
