What is SASSA R350 Grant?

Like all children social grant caregivers, clients without the 13-digit barcoded South African identification numbers, are eligible to apply for the Special COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant.

The South African Social Security Agency has on its grant system, beneficiaries who do not have South African identification but are receiving social grants.

Some of these beneficiaries draw child grants like the child support, care dependency and foster child grants and not necessarily adult grants for themselves.

To enable them to apply for social grants, SASSA allocated persons without the 13-digit bar-coded ID numbers, a system-generated quad seven identification number to assist them to access social assistance.

How To Apply For SASSA R350 Grant Without South African ID?

To apply For SASSA R350 Grant For People without South African ID, Follow the below steps

** When applying, they will use a SASSA system-generated number starting with 7777 as their identification number.

** SASSA calls on Quad-7 identity number holders receiving children’s grants and are also caregivers, to apply for the special SRD R350 grant using their system number starting with 7777 number allocated by the Agency when they were first approved for a social grant.

** Those caregivers who do not have their SASSA system-generated identification starting with 7777, are advised to call the SASSA Toll-free number on 0800 60 10 11 to request the said number.

Once they have their number, they will be able to apply for the R350 grant, using the SASSA website on https://srd.sassa.gov.za/

** Once they have secured their numbers and have successfully applied for the SRD grant, the R350 will be paid into their child grant on their grant payment card.

They can then draw their money at the post office or through the Postbank, alternatively and more convenient, they can use the supermarkets.

Documents Required For SASSA R350 Grant

Applicants will need to provide the following documents to apply for SASSA R350 Grant For People without South African ID

** Identity Number or Department of Home Affairs Refugee permit number
** Name and Surname as captured in the Identity Document
** Gender and Disability
** Contact details – Cell phone number
** Residential Address

** Applications for the special Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant are only electronic. Do not visit SASSA offices to apply for this grant. If you need assistance to apply, SASSA staff & volunteers can assist.

** No paper based applications will be accepted.
** Payment will be effected through a channel of your choice.

** Citizens without bank accounts can also apply. In this case payment will be effected through a money transfer, once all the necessary validations have been completed.

** Once applications are approved, SASSA will request confirmation of bank account through a secure site – this will also be done electronically.
** Any applicant has the right to request confirmation that this request is from SASSA to protect themselves.

2. I applied for grant but got declined so, what must I do now because I am not working anymore, I got money from January to March but June month, it got declined. I am so disappointed with SASSA.

7. Click on the “Submit” button.

You will receive an SMS or email confirmation once your application has been submitted. The processing time for applications is usually 3-5 weeks.

** You must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
** You must be unemployed or earning less than R350 per month.
** You must be 18 years of age or older.

    I have a problem I help two boys that a sleeping in the street to apply for srd with they birth certificate cause they don’t have id I try to help to make I’d I can’t they need they mother’s but 1dont no were the parents a 1say the parents passed so want must I do cause they a already over age 30yrs an 22yrs.An they never collected since they applied cause they don’t want to help without I’d please can please help they need the money.Please help them
