How To Register For City of Cape Town e-Billing?

The City of Cape Town has improved its electronic invoice distribution system and now offers residents and organisations the opportunity to register online to receive their municipal accounts via email. To register, please follow the steps below.

Register For e-Billing As An Individual

The e-Services application does not support mobile phone or tablet access – please use your laptop or desktop instead. Our applications are best viewed using the latest versions of the following web browsers, Internet Explorer 11, Chrome 72+, Firefox 65+ or Safari 12+.

Step 1: Visit the e-Billing registration portal https://eservices1.capetown.gov.za/coct/wd/zeid#
Step 2: Follow the instruction wizard and fill in all your information.

You will need the following:
** your ID or passport number
** a copy of your ID or passport to upload
** your business partner number (found on the top right hand side of your municipal account statement)
** a valid email address

Step 3: Once you have registered, you will receive your municipal bills via email.

Register For e-Billing As A Company Or Organisation

Step 1: Visit the e-Billing registration portal.
Step 2: Follow the instruction wizard and fill in all your information.

You will need the following:
** a letter from your company or organisation indicating that the company representative is authorised to request that invoices be emailed
** a copy of the company representative’s identity document
** a business partner number (found on the top right hand side of your municipal account statement)
** a valid email address

Step 3: Once you have registered, you will receive your municipal bills via email.

Reset your e-Services password:
Managing your municipal accounts and accessing other City services via e-Services requires a valid login. If you’ve already registered, but can’t remember your password or if you are unable sign in for another reason, we can help you reset your password.

How To Change Your Email Address?

Find out how to change the email address that we send your municipal accounts to if you have already registered.

Step 1: Log into e-Services and click on the ‘Municipal accounts’ tab at the top of the screen
Step 2: Click on ‘eBilling’
Step 3: Make sure that you have ’email’ listed as your medium, then click on ‘Change Email’ to change your email address.

You can sms your account number and email address to 31223 to receive your municipal account via email every month.

    Good trying to register for ebilling but will not let me past the page indcating email to me or to third party
