How To Claim Your PSIRA Profile?

The primary objective of the Authority is to regulate the private security industry and to exercise effective control over the practice of the occupation of security. Follow the below steps to claim your PSIRA profile.

Step-1 : Go to the link https://digitalservices.psira.co.za/claim-profile
Step-2 : Choose Profile
Step-3 : Select “Claim By” option
Step-4 : Enter the Mobile Number
Step-5 : Click on “Send OTP” button
Step-6 : Verify OTP and Proceed further to claim your profile

The Authority hereby warrants that your personal information it receives through this process will be processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and all reasonable steps will be taken to secure its integrity and confidentiality. Collecting & Using Your Personal Data

Functions of PSIRA South Africa

The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) in South Africa is a government entity that is responsible for regulating and overseeing the private security industry in the country. The functions of PSIRA include:

Registration and licensing of security service providers:
PSIRA is responsible for registering and licensing individuals and entities that provide private security services in South Africa. This includes security officers, security businesses, and security training providers.

Compliance monitoring and enforcement:
PSIRA monitors compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulation Act (PSIRA Act) and other relevant regulations, standards, and codes of conduct within the private security industry. It conducts inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions to ensure that security service providers operate in compliance with the law.

Training and skills development:
PSIRA is responsible for setting and maintaining standards for training and skills development within the private security industry. It accredits security training providers and promotes continuous professional development among security officers to improve their skills and knowledge.

Additional Generic Procedure

To claim your PSIRA profile, you can follow these steps:
1) Go to the PSiRA website: https://digitalservices.psira.co.za/
2) Click on the “Claim Profile” button.
3) Enter your ID number or passport number.
4) Enter the captcha code.
5) Click on the “Submit” button.

You will receive an SMS with a verification code. Enter the verification code in the required field and click on the “Verify” button. You will then be able to create a password and login to your PSIRA profile.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when claiming your PSIRA profile:
1) You can only claim your profile if you are a registered security officer with PSIRA.
2) You will need to have your ID number or passport number handy.
3) You will need to be able to read and understand the captcha code.
4) You will need to be able to receive SMS messages.

Once you have claimed your profile, you will be able to access a variety of PSIRA services online, including:
1) Viewing your registration status
2) Downloading your certificate
3) Filing a complaint
4) Paying your renewal fees

    Hello. What makes fingerprint to keep saying retake cause it’s the second time it happens I don’t know what to do anymore. I even went to the police station to take another fingerprint and I post them via email and when I called them yesterday they told me they haven’t received them but I sent via post office (fast mail) please help

    I tried to claim my profile since on the 20 of May 2023 even now,I still can’t claim it,thy send me different OTP numbers but when I used those OTP number it says Error,and also says I should contact psira.

    Please help as it is getting desperate: I have been to the PSIRA Offices thrice to submit my fingerprints so I can upgrade to Grade A. In all instances my fingerprints were “FAILED”.

    Isn’t there an alternative way to solve this issue because my Business is suffering as a result.

    I have gone to the Doctors and they say there is no medication available.
