Contours Landscapes (Pty) Ltd is an established and accomplished landscape construction firm with its head office in Muizenberg, Cape Town. Contours Landscapes is seeking a suitably qualified and highly experienced commercial and residential landscape irrigation specialist (installation and design) who will be required to launch, grow and manage the company’s irrigation department.

Irrigation Manager Job Responsibilities

** Support company estimating department during project cost estimation phase.
** Design and planning of irrigation systems, pump systems and other related designs
** Plan and manage all aspects of installation, repair, maintenance and programming of irrigation systems
** Refine quantification and costing systems and work processes
** Prepare estimates / quotes of variation works.
** Populate and manage quote controls
** Juggle multiple tasks and provide cost estimates in a timely manner to meet tender, VO and SI submission deadlines and to help projects stay on track and within budget.
** Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, colleagues, suppliers and other parties.
** Monitor each stage of construction to ensure that costs are in line with budget.
** Provide financial progress reports to the landscape construction team and directors.
** Provide on-going irrigation advise and mentorship to landscape construction managers and team.
** Interaction and Liaison with clients and internal project managers through all work stages, from project inception through to final account.
** Manage operations through the application of sound technical, quality and labour management practices
** Oversight and / or direct participation in:
** Procurement documentation, including advice and interaction with clients regarding conditions of contract and payment preambles
** Tender awards
** Project administration: Contract notices, guarantees, electronic filing etc
** Finalisation of Accounts
** Dispute Resolution

** Hardworking with practical skills and confidence when using irrigation electronics, pumps, fittings and machinery
** Willingness to work in the field as well as in the office, or remotely if needed.
** Willingness to work longer than normal office hours at a fast pace
** Willingness and ability to constantly learn, attend courses and be adaptable in a dynamic environment

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
** A SABI accredited irrigation qualification or similar
** A minimum of 5 years’ irrigation and costing experience
** RSA citizen
** Valid driver’s license with no endorsements
** Stable work history and contactable references
** Working knowledge of NEC, GCC and JBCC suite of contracts.
** No criminal record

I.T. And Computer Literacy:
** Full MS suite including MS projects (non-negotiable)
** Pastel (Beneficial)
** AutoCad (non-negotiable)
** IrriCad, WCADI or similar (Beneficial)

Language of Communication:
** English
** Afrikaans

Remuneration Package

Salary negotiable but will be commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
