The University of Fort Hare (UFH) 2024 Admission Application Cycle is now open.We are processing both online and manual applications. Online Application is free whilst Manual Application is R120 for South African and R500 for International Students respectively.

What are the Entry Requirements of UFH Admission ?
Undergraduate:
** To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet minimum requirements for eligibility:
** Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
** Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.
** For more information on Undergraduate degree requirements please refer to the Study Guide.
** Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by prospective students under the age of 18.
** Closing date for all Undergraduate Qualifications is 30 September 2023, no late applications will be accepted.
Postgraduate:
** The admission requirements for postgraduate study vary from one programme to another. You are advised to consult the Faculty directly in order to find out what is required for the course or degree that you want to take.
** Closing date for Honours students is 30 September 2023, no late applications will be accepted.
** Closing date for Masters & PhD students is 31 November 2023, no late applications will be accepted.
International Students:
Undergraduate:
Applicants holding non-South African school-leaving certificates must qualify for a matriculation exemption certificate. For more information regarding evaluation of qualifications please visit the website of the Matriculation Board www.hesa.org.za. Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by leaners under the age of 18. Closing date for International Applicants is 31 August 2023, no late applications will be accepted.
Postgraduate:
All applicants with non-South African qualifications are required to have their qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). For more information regarding evaluation of qualifications please visit the SAQA website www.saqa.org.za.It is the responsibility of the prospective student to forward his/her documentation to SAQA. Closing date for International Applicants is 31 August 2022, no late applications will be accepted.

Here are the steps on how to apply for UFH admission online:
1. Go to the UFH Online Application portal: https://ienabler.ufh.ac.za/pls/prodi41/gen.gw1pkg.gw1startup?x_processcode=ITS_OAP.
2. Create an account and log in.
3. Select the type of application you want to submit (undergraduate or postgraduate).
4. Complete the application form and upload all the required documents.
The required documents for undergraduate students are:
** A copy of your Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
** A copy of your ID document.
** A copy of your parent/guardian’s ID document (if you are under the age of 18).
The required documents for postgraduate students are:
** A copy of your degree certificate or equivalent qualification.
** A copy of your ID document.
** A copy of your academic transcripts.
5. Pay the application fee (R0 for online applications).
6. Submit your application.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind when applying for UFH admission online:
** You must have a valid email address to create an account and to receive updates on your application.
** You must upload all the required documents in PDF format.
** The size of each document must not exceed 2MB.
