How To Register For Undergraduate & Honours in UNISA?
The registration process for undergraduate & honours qualifications.

Step 1: Find your qualification & choose your modules
** Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online.
** Unisa reserves the right to not process and / or to cancel your registration if it is found that you were incorrectly admitted to a qualification.
** Re-registering students must register for the 2026 academic year during the relevant registration period.
** The university provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration has been finalised.
** Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university, and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
** If you are already registered and would like to add additional modules, login to myUnisa, choose the myAdmin link, click on “Student Admin” and then on “Register Additional Modules”.
Step 2: Calculate your study fees
It is important to assess the full cost of your studies before confirming your modules for registration. What you can afford will affect the number of modules for which you can register. Our fees differ depending on your qualification, your number of modules, and so on, but basically they include prescribed student fees (including registration fees), miscellaneous fees and fees for additional study material. You can choose your modules and calculate your fees during the online registration process.
Step 3: Complete & submit your registration
** All successful applicants and re-registering students must register to study through Unisa in 2026.
** Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register after receiving and accepting an official offer from Unisa.
** Re-registering students may register for the 2026 academic year during the relevant registration period once they have received their registration details.
Step 4: Pay your study fees
Once you have completed and submitted your registration form, you must pay the fees that you calculated in step 3. All fees must be paid into the Unisa official bank account with the correct reference number in order for the university to process your registration before the relevant closing date.
Step 5: After registration
Register on myUnisa:
Once you’ve received confirmation of your registration, register on myUnisa, the university’s online student portal. Then you won’t need to wait for your study material to be sent to you. You’ll be able to download everything, including your tutorial letters, from myUnisa. Registering on myUnisa is one of the first things you need to do once you have your student number.
Activate myLife e-mail account:
The university provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration has been finalised. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university, and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa. Official communication from the university is sent via e-mail to a student’s myLife e-mail account.
The rules for the use of the myLife e-mail account are as follows:
** The university provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is the student’s responsibility to activate their myLife e-mail account as soon as their registration is finalised.
** The myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
** All official communication from the university will be sent to the myLife account. Other additional communication channels may be used from time-to-time, but the university will communicate with students primarily via their myLife e-mail addresses.
** The management of this e-mail account remains the responsibility of the student.
