How To Apply For NSFAS TVET Semester 2?

NSFAS Semester 2 TVET applications and Occupational Programmes intake 2 (OQ Annual 2) are NOW open and will close on 17 July 2026. Applicants are encouraged to monitor their myNSFAS accounts for important updates related to their application.

NSFAS bursary is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents with a combined household income of not more than R350 000 per annum. For persons living with disabilities, the combined household income is capped at R600 000 per annum

What Does NSFAS Funding Covers?

The funding covers the cost of the following:

** Registration
** Tuition Fees and learning materials
** Living allowance
** Personal care allowance
** Transport or Accommodation

Note:
Living/Personal and Transport allowances are not part of the loan scheme funding.

Who Can Not Apply For NSFAS TVET Semester 2?

1. Students who have received 100% study funding from non-NSFAS sources.
2. A student who already has obtained an undergraduate qualification and wants to study for a second undergraduate qualification.
3. A student who has achieved a certificate qualification and wants to study for a second certificate qualification.
4. Students studying at a private institution.
5. Students enrolled for qualifications that are not approved by DHET and/or SAQA accredited.

How To Track Your myNSFAS Application Status?

To track your myNSFAS Application Status, follow these steps:

Visit the myNSFAS Portal:
** Go to the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za.
** Click on myNSFAS button at the Top right corner of the homepage.

Log in to Your Account:
** Enter your registered email address and password.
** Complete the CAPTCHA to verify your identity.
** Click Sign In.

Check Your Application Status:
** Once logged in, look for the Track Application Progress or Application Status tab.
** Click on it to view the current status of your application.

Understand the Status Terms:
** Application Submitted: Your application has been received and is being processed.
** Documents Missing: You need to upload the required documents.
** Under Review: Your application is being reviewed to confirm eligibility.
** Approved: Your funding has been approved.
** Rejected: Your application did not meet the requirements (reason will be provided)..

Check Your Application Status:
Check regularly for updates or further actions needed, such as uploading missing documents or accepting your funding.
