Samsung 46664 Terms & Conditions :

Introduction :
1.1 The Promoter of this Campaign is Samsung Electronics South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a private company with limited liability, duly registered and incorporated in accordance with the company laws of the Republic of South Africa, having its registered office at 2929 William Nicol Drive, Bryanston, Johannesburg, 2021.

1.2 The Promoter has the exclusive right to promote the 4-6-6-6-4 campaign, such that where a Proteas batsman or the Proteas team in a Qualifying Match strikes 4-6-6-6-4 in consecutive boundaries (not consecutive deliveries), the Promoter has agreed to donate R1,000,000.00 (one million rand) to the Nelson Mandela Foundation Trust (“the Campaign”).

1.3 This document has been published to inform the public about the Campaign and confirm in writing the terms and conditions (“the T&C’s”) which apply to the Campaign. These terms and conditions shall be binding on all those who participate in the Campaign.

Definitions :
2.1 Clause headings are inserted for convenience only and shall not be used in its interpretation.

2.2 The following expressions shall bear the following meanings and related expressions bear corresponding meanings :
** “Campaign” shall mean the “Samsung 4-6-6-6-4” Campaign as described herein;
** “Campaign Period” shall mean the period from 26 December 2015 until 30 September 2017;
** “Donation” shall mean the donation which shall be made to the Foundation upon achievement of the sequence as more fully set out in clause 3 below;

** “Event of Force Majeure” shall mean any event beyond the reasonable control of Samsung, including but not limited to war, earthquakes, disasters, calamities, storms, power failures, strikes or similar circumstances (including the threat thereof) or the postponed, curtailment or cancellation of the Qualifying Match for whatever reason;

** “Foundation” shall mean the Nelson Mandela Foundation Trust;
** “Promoter” shall mean Samsung Electronics South Africa (Pty) Ltd;
** “Proteas” means the men’s national cricket team; and
** “Qualifying Match” means any international match played in South Africa during the Campaign Period featuring the Proteas (including any One-day International, T20 International or Test Match).

Donation :
3.1 The Promoter has agreed to make a donation of R1,000,000.00 (one million rand) to the Foundation should a Proteas batsman or the Proteas team strike 4-6-6-6-4 in consecutive boundaries (not consecutive deliveries) during a Qualifying Match. Any run scored off the bat between the sequence of boundaries (excluding extras) will nullify the sequence with the result that the relevant batsman or team will start the sequence again.

3.2 The Promoter will review the sequence referred above in consultation with the official scorer and will be responsible for confirming publicly both the validity of the occurrence and the payment of the Donation to the Foundation.

3.3 The Donation shall be made once only, if and when the relevant sequence is attained.
3.4 The Promoter may refuse to award the Donation if these terms and conditions have not been met or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices with respect to the Campaign or the occurrence of the relevant sequence.
